Lumbini has a number of older temples, including the Mayadevi Temple, and various new temples, funded by Buddhist organisations from various countries, have been completed or are still under construction. Many monuments, monasteries and a museum, and the Lumbini International Research Institute are also within the holy site. Also, there is the Puskarini, or Holy Pond, where the Buddha's mother took the ritual dip prior to his birth and where he had his first bath. At other sites near Lumbini, earlier Buddhas were, according to tradition, born, then achieved ultimate Enlightenment and finally relinquished their earthly forms.
Beautiful birth place of gautam Buddha.

LUMBINI - NEPAL TIP #5 Cambodian Buddhist Temple Lumbini
The temple visible from afar, it is beautiful. The decor and colors are original and shine as new after a complete reconstruction. Inside, you can see images from the life of Buddha, a similar feeling I had in the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican. Very strong energy shines from the whole object. I recommend to visit.

Wat Thai Temple | Royal Thai Monastery | Bodhgaya | Photo Tour
Welcome to yet another photo tour of Bodhgaya. In this video we are going to take you to the Wat Thai Buddhist temple in Bodhgaya which is also known as Royal Thai Monastery.
This Wat Thai temple was built in 1956 by the Thailand monarch on the request of then prime minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru to strengthen the bond between these two nations.
This temple is located at the main road near the tourist bungalow.
The temple is more than 60 years old but, still looks as new. The exterior of this temple is made of golden tiles with a curved roof.
There are two protectors at the entrance of this temple covered with shining mirrors.
The statue of Buddha is made up of ashadhatu (which means 8 different type of metals) and is of golden color.
This temple is a classic specimen of Thai architecture and is surely one of the most beautiful Buddhist Temples at Bodhgaya.
We are going to make a video blog on this temple soon. Till then keep supporting us by liking our videos and don’t forget to subscribe to our channel.
Visit Lumbini, Help for Nepal - Thailand 2015
Mission Lumbini : Visit Lumbini, Help Nepal, Thailand.

We will probably have to let go of the conservative attitude of trying to keep Lumbini for ourselves. First of all it is the birthplace of Lord Buddha and it belongs to all the 28 percent of the world's population who are Buddhists, and open ourselves that Lumbini is more of an international center rather than just a part of Nepal. So that we can have international investments and growth will be faster. There are enough private sector who could actually invest here should we allow them. There is a lot of interest shown from all over the world but we would have to change our attitude.

It has been my wish for a long time to come here to Lumbini. But unless the lord calls us to his doorsteps we cannot come. He has finally called us and we are here to pray for all the people of the world and for the family and to spread the words of peace of Buddha all across the world.

Lord Buddha himself proclaimed in his deathbed that one visit to Lumbini as a Buddhist is a must for every Buddhist. So probably looking at 1.6 billion Buddhists around the world and even if we could attract just one percent of that to Lumbini this year I think it would have been a great contribution to the development of not Lumbini alone but to the development of the people in the whole eastern area Nepal because Nepal is coming out of a very difficult situation and probably what we need is for more people to understand that Nepal is a peace loving country.

There is much left for development of Lumbini even as per the master plan but we are all optimistic that in the future with the help of the Nepal government and supporters around the world work will progress, and development of the area is necessary.
