The Vanlene Shipwreck - Vancouver Island
The Vanlene went down in 1972, getting stuck on rocks at the tip of the Broken Group Islands (Part of Pacific Rim National Park). It carried some 300 Dodge Colts, the boat captain with no modern navigational aids used only a compass. Thinking he was in the Juan de Fuca Strait, the captain had no idea he was heading right into an island chain.

I think that this ride is the north end of the Lighthouse Country Regional Trail which has a gravel section like the Galloping Goose.
This map should help.
