De Rozenhoedkaai (Quai of the Rosary) is probably the most photographed spot in Bruges. It's a must see for all visitors. The canals of Brugge, such as the Rosary dock, are the meeting points of artist, painters and photographers.
The Huidenvettersplein (Tanners' Square) and the Fish Market are just arount the corner. Here is one of the departure points for boat trips on the canals. The Belfry and Market Square are only a 3 minutes walk away.

ROBANCA TRAVELOGUES: Bruges - A Historical Gem. A three day break in the city of Bruges, Belgium, in May-June 2014, walking and cycling, visiting Kruispoort, Sint-Janishuismolen and Nieuve Papegaai windmills, and Dampoort. In the city centre, we walk many of the canals, and visit Markt and Burg Squares, seeing the Belfry of Bruges and the city hall. On the outskirts we cycle to Ezelpoort, Smedenpoort and Minnewater with the Begijnhof convent. We finish by walkling through the Brangwyn Museum grounds to reach the Bonifacius Bridge. We spend our last evening at the Rozenhoedkaai. On our way home, we stop briefly at Damme.

Dijver, Bruges
Skirting the south bank of the canal beyond Rozenhoedkaai is the tree-lined quay known as the Dijver. One of the row of superb old patrician houses (No. 31) is now occupied by the College of Europe, a post-graduate institute for the study of greater European integration.
Huidenvettersplein, Bruges
If you're on the 'Huidevettersplein' take a close look to the surrounding houses. You can see the guildhall of the 'Huidevetters'. The 'huidenvetters' are the leather workers or tanners. A powerful guild , the hall dates back from 1630. In the center of the square you can spot a pedestal , pillar. On top there are two little lions holding the coat of arms of the guild.
One of the most photographed spots in Bruges is the Rozenhoedkaai, just around the corner. If you were allowed to take only one snapshot while in Bruges, here is the spot to take it!
The Quai of the Rosary (Rozenhoedkaai), is a starting point for many boattrips through Bruges.

The video concludes
3:26 - with probably the most photographed view in Bruges - standing on Rozenhoedkaai, looking over the Dijver Canal at the attractive buildings, with the Belfry Tower behind them. A large tree with huge white baubles sits on the corner closest to the camera, whilst the Hotel Relais Bourgondisch Cruyce is in the far corner.
Gulls and a duck float on the water, whilst a moored-up boat full of tourists waits for their captain to arrive beside a flag pole, supporting three flags; one Belgian flag, one Bruges flag, and another unidentified flag.

Bruges is a unique town located in Belgium, Brussels. This town has preserved its former look in such an amazing way despite of being occupied by German forces on WWI and WW2. The townscaped is dominated by 15th to 18th century buildings and houses. These are reminiscent of the unsurpassed flowering during the middle ages.
Bruges or Brugge is known as the Venice of the North due to the presence of canals like that of Venice in Italy. These canals are connected to the sea. A sea connection has alwaya been of vital importance to Bruges.
Bruges was introduced to my husband in one of his favorite comic magazines which he always read before he goes to sleep. That's why he is more excited than me and it really never fails his expectations. In fact it surpasses his expectations, he never thought it could be as beautiful and enchanting it is in real.
Strolling around the majestic Bruges at NIGHT is one of the recommended activities not to be missed while in Bruges. So brace yourself as we will together be getting lost in the beautiful old city of Bruges.
