Don't Miss this amazing place.
The place is about an hour's trek, about 2 kms one way through lush but moderately difficult mountain terrain. Not at all advised for aged people or if you have any knee or leg related medical conditions. The trek itself is amazing and we were told not to be surprised if we meet leopards or bears (we were not that lucky !! sigh !!). Carry water to hydrate yourself when you are taking pit stops to regain your breath.
The temple in the cave is supposedly 2000 years old and there are natural shiva-linga formations. The cave is quite cold. The falls next to it is nothing but a trickle of water... not sure what happens during rainy seasons though. The water catchment is nice and saw folks busy taking selfies and getting a cold water treatment for their legs.
Overall, a place worth visiting.. don't miss it.
As I see it, if you are fit and love trekking, a visit to the Rudradhari Falls and caves is a must. Situated in Kausani, this place houses a Shiva temple built in a cave and a very thin waterfall.

Rudhari falls & Cave - Bageswar
At a distance of 12 km from Kausani, bounded by the paddy fields and green pine forests is the spellbinding Rudradhari Falls. Located on the trekking way to Adi Kailash region, one can also explore the mysteries of the ancient caves lying near the falls.
According to the legend, this place holds connection with Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. The Shiva Temple of Someshwar lies in the proximity to the waterfalls.
Rudradhari Mahadev Cave and Waterfall Trekking (Kausani) Part -1
Rudradhari falls is one of the main attractions near Kausani. It is situated around 20 Km away from Kausani and 5 Km away near in Kantali village. There is a temple near the falls and one has to trek to reach there. This is a small trek and difficulty level is quite high for unfit and aged people but as the path is rocky so one has to take care of yourself.
You can enjoy the view of the lush green jungle all around you. You can listen to the sound of different creatures while trekking. You will see some small caves too. The best thing is that there's nothing on the way like shops or any place to stay. May be because it's such a small trek.
You will find so many local kids who can be your guide and they charge just Rs 100/- But as it's a small trek you can go on your own.
Have anyone of you has been there? How was the experience ?
Let me know !
My First Trekking Experience! | Rudradhari Falls
My very first official travel Vlog. I trek to Rudradhari waterfalls and temple which is near Kausani (Switzerland of India) with a friend of mine.
It's famous for its waterfall with some caves around it. I would suggest that you shouldn't visit here in the months of May, June or July as the waterfall dries up as you can see in the video.
It's basically a 3 km journey from the shop I showed in the video but it seems much longer due to the inclination of the path.
Disclaimer: If you are planning to go here, then carry loads of water to drink with you because you won't find any shop once you reach there.
Nearest Railway Station: Kathgodam, 135kms
Nearest Airport: Pantnagar, 171kms
