AUSTRALIA ROAD TRIP | Adelaide to Melbourne, Great Ocean Road, Pitch Music & Arts, Grampians.
We spent 3 weeks on the road in this lovely old Volvo 240, runs perfect, mint condition, all seatbelts, windows, and doors almost worked. We drove from Adelaide to Melbourne via The Great Ocean Road, then went from Melbourne to Pitch Music and Arts Festival (shoutout to Madie, Clio and Aggot). We then spent a couple of days Detoxing in the Grampians National Park, before eventually making our way back to Adelaide for the last weekend of the Adelaide Fringe (didn't film it). We slept in the comfort of the 240 for the most part of the trip, but delved into some hostels. I found a good balance between enjoying this trip and capturing some of it on camera, didn't expect the video to be this long but it'll be quite cool to look back on in a few years. S/O to the people we met on the road, and S/O to Henry, cheers for a good holiday & try not to crash the volvo cause it'll hurt.

Chinatown Melbourne Info:
Chinatown (Chinese: 墨爾本華埠) is an ethnic enclave in the Central Business District (CBD) of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Centred at the eastern end of Little Bourke Street, it extends between the corners of Swanston and Spring Streets, and consists of numerous laneways, alleys and arcades. Established in the 1850s during the Victorian gold rush, it is notable for being the longest continuous Chinese settlement in the Western World and the oldest Chinatown in the Southern Hemisphere.
Melbourne's Chinatown has played an important role in establishing the culture of Chinese immigrants in Australia and is still home to many Chinese restaurants, cultural venues, businesses and places of worship. Today, Melbourne's Chinatown is a major tourist attraction, known for its architectural heritage, annual festivals and cuisines of Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Indian, Malaysian, Vietnamese and Korean origins.
Beyond Chinatown and the CBD, Melbourne's Chinese community is well-represented in other areas of the city, such as Box Hill and Glen Waverley. Chinatown is home to the Chinese Museum.
Flinders Street Info:
Flinders Street is a notable street in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Running roughly parallel to the Yarra River, Flinders Street forms the southern edge of the Hoddle Grid. It is exactly 1 mi (1.609 km) in length and one and a half chains (99 ft, 30 m) in width. It is named for the explorer Matthew Flinders, erroneously credited with discovering Port Phillip at the time of its naming. It extends eastwards as far as Spring Street and the Treasury Gardens and westwards past Batman's Hill to the Melbourne Docklands. As the closest street to the river, Flinders Street serviced Melbourne's original river port. Customs House, now the site for Victoria's Immigration Museum, is on Flinders Street.
The street is home to Flinders Street station, the central station in Melbourne's suburban rail network. Tram routes 70 and 75, as well as the City Circle route, run along Flinders Street, and the Flinders Street Viaduct runs parallel to the street, linking the city's two major railway stations.
Other landmarks on Flinders Street include Federation Square, St Paul's Cathedral, Young and Jackson Hotel, the Banana Alley Vaults, the old Herald and Weekly Times building, Melbourne Aquarium and Batman Park, which adjoins the Yarra River. It was once home to the Melbourne Fish Market, an ornate building constructed in 1890, covering 23,000 square metres, and of similar design to Flinders Street Station. The market was demolished between 1958 and 1960 after which the site became a public carpark. The site is now home to the three towers of the Northbank Place complex which includes office space, residential apartments, retail outlets and a multi-level carpark.

SOUTHBANK MELBOURNE CITY CENTRE AUSTRALIA YARRA RIVER SOUTHBANK TOUR
Melbourne City Centre (also known colloquially as simply The City or The CBD is an area of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is the area in which Melbourne was established in 1835
Melbourne has once again been named the world's most liveable city by The Economist, receiving a perfect score for healthcare, education and infrastructure.
The Economist Intelligence Unit's (EIU) Liveability Index ranks 140 cities each year on those topics, as well as stability, culture and environment.
Top five most liveable cities:
Melbourne
Vienna
Vancouver
Toronto
Adelaide, Calgary
Vienna once again came second and Vancouver third.
Adelaide was the next best Australian city finishing in fifth spot, followed by Perth at number seven. Sydney was ranked 11th.
It was a record seventh time in a row in the top spot for Melbourne, which scored 97.5 out of a possible 100.
Southbank is an inner urban neighbourhood of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 1 km south of the Melbourne central business district. Its local government area are the cities of Melbourne and Port Phillip. At the 2016 Census, Southbank had a population of 18,709.[1] Its southernmost area is considered part of the central business district of the city. Southbank is bordered to the north by the Yarra River, and to the east by St Kilda Road. Southbank's southern and western borders are bounded by Dorcas Street, Kings Way, the West Gate Freeway and Montague Street.[2]
Southbank was formerly an industrial area and part of South Melbourne. It was transformed into a densely populated district of high rise apartment and office buildings beginning in the early 1990s, as part of an urban renewal program. With the exceptions of the cultural precinct along St Kilda Road, few buildings built before this time were spared by redevelopment.
Today, Southbank is dominated by high-rise development. It is one of the primary business centres in Greater Melbourne, being the headquarters of Treasury Wine Estates, Crown Limited, Alumina, Incitec Pivot, The Herald & Weekly Times (including the Herald Sun), as well as regional offices of many major corporations, in a cluster of towers with over 340,000 square metres of office space in 2008. It is also one of the most densely populated areas of Melbourne, with a large cluster of apartment towers, including Australia's tallest tower measured to its highest floor, the Eureka Tower.
Southbank Promenade and Southgate Restaurant and Shopping Precinct, on the southern bank of the Yarra River, extending to Crown Casino, is one of Melbourne's major entertainment precincts. Southgate's landmark Ophelia sculpture by Deborah Halpern has been used to represent Melbourne in tourism campaigns.
