Rupin Pass Trek, 2017
On an internship with Bikat Adventures, I was sent on this trek. Regardless of the difficulties and challenges I faced I would do the trek again any day. This place looks like its straight out of a sci-fi movie and I hope it stays that way.

Ravished by Rupin pass|Rupin pass trek in may|Rupinpass never seen before|Best trek in India
Rupin Pass is a high altitude trek at about 15,250 feet, which starts from Dhaula in Uttarakhand and ends at Sangla. A long time ago, a massive chunk of glacier slid down the Dhauladhar ranges of Himalayas, cutting rugged mountains in the shape of a half-barrel. That’s Rupin – a spectacular valley that promises two totally different experiences in its two seasons. If it is snow that attracts you, aim for the May- June season. If you want your valley covered in a lush green then go for September.

Rupin Pass, Northern India Part 2
Our 2018 trek to acclimatise for the Chilung climb was a highlight. The Rupin Pass (4,680m) took 9 days from Delhi to Shimla. We did the trip with Indiahikes who did a great job for us at a ridiculously cheap price. They do take large groups and ours started at 23 (although a few dropped out as we went along). This second video shows Days 4 to 8 and our long journey out to Shimla on those (usually) death defying Himalayan roads.
Trek:-
Day 4 - Burans Kandi to Lower Waterfall Camp (3,566m),
Day 5 - acclimatisation,
Day 6 - Lower Waterfall to Upper Waterfall Camp (3,993m),
Day 7 - Rupin Pass (4,680m) and down to Ronti Gad (3,990m),
Day 8 out to Sangla (2,620m) and the drive to Shimla (2,276m).
