Church Of The Savior On Blood. Real Russia ep.134 (4K)
Church of The Savion On Blood also known as Church of The Savior On Spilled Blood is one of the main showplaces in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
It is located in the beginning of Griboedov Enbankment of Saint Petersburg.
The Church was built between 1883 and 1907 on a place where Emperor Alexander II was fatally wounded in March, 1881.
Very bright and colorful church, covered with mostly an images of saint people inside. One of the main features inside of the Church is a Canopy. It is right above a little fragment of the brick road which is used to be before the Church and where Emperor Alexander II was fatally bombed during the carriage ride.

10 must visit places in Moscow | Russia
Hello everyone! My name is Daria!
There are hundreds points of attraction in Moscow but I guess if you have only couple of days you haven’t so much time to visit all of them, that’s why for your attention I will show you my favorite places in Moscow. I see the best time for visiting Moscow since April because for example in this March we had terrible spring with 10 degrees below zero. If you don’t want to be frozen and want to walk more welcome since late spring. All of the places which I’m going to tell about are in the center. Let’s get into it!
1. Red square
Красная площадь
The Red Square is the most popular and that’s why most of the time crowded city plaza in Moscow but despite this fact I like to be there and set a meeting point near Ohotny ryad station. It absolutely should be the
first place in your travel rout. Red Square is a beautiful historical place with many interesting buildings and monuments around. I like the atmosphere which you can feel walking along the streets.
2. St. Basil’s Cathedral
Собор Василия Блаженного
On the Red square you may see a colorful unusual cathedral. It’s a St. Basil’s Cathedral. It was built in 16th century and now works as a museum
This is a unique cathedral, mix of details has no analogues in Russian architecture.
More info you may find here
The ticket for adults is 350 rubles.
3. GUM
ГУМ
It’s on Red Square, as well, near St.Basils Cathedral. This is a huge beautiful shopping mall in neo-Russian style where you can walk inside, eat an ice-cream and visit Stolovaya No 57. It’s a canteen which offers Russian Soviet Food.
4. Bolshoi theatre and places around
Большой театр и места вокруг
The Bolshoi Theatre is a historic theatre in Moscow and one of the huge in Russia, which holds ballet and opera performances and which you may see on 100 rubles banknote.
You will see Bolshoy theatre, Maliy Theathe (Малый театр), TsuM ЦУМ (it’s a premium shopping mall mostly with expensive brands) and go to Kuznetskiy most street. You will find plenty of bars and cafes. I adore this district because It’s full of live. In spring and in summer musician bands play on the streets. Their performances and genres are different and you will enjoy just sitting on a bench and listening to music.
5. Old Arbat st and New Arbat st
Старый Арбат и Новый Арбат
There are 2 parallel streets. Old Arbat is one of the oldest street. Moscow intellectuals such as Pushkin, Blok, Tolstoy, Gogol, Chehov and many others lived there. New Arbat is a modern designed street with contemporary installations, benches and buildings.
6. Cathedral of Christ the Savior (view point)
Храм Христа Спасителя (смотровая площадка)
The Cathedral of Christ the Saviour (Храм Христа Спасителя,) is a Russian Orthodox cathedral in Moscow, Russia, it is the tallest Orthodox Christian church in the world. More info about this one is here, check it out.
The entry is free but if you want to go to see a view point the ticket cost as I remember around 200 rubles.
7. Kitay-Gorod district, Maroseyka st
Район Китай-города, ул. Маросейка
I love this street for its wonderful atmosphere. You may feel an old Moscow here. There are plenty of nice buildings, cafes with terraces outside, churches. Order a cup of coffee and watching people walking by.
8. Gorky park
Парк Горького
Has a huge territory. It’s a very popular place in the capital. In warm time of a year, you will see many people of different ages, cultures, styles , you may take a participation in dancing classes which are held on the embankment of Moscow River, watch movies under the sky, listen to music bands, have a rest near lakes or river, ride on bicycle or other strange vehicle.
9. Zaryadye Park
Парк Зарядье
I add this one, because it’s a new park which was finished in 2017. This project was a new and innovative for Moscow. You will see the floating bridge, amphitheater with futuristic roof, media centers. I think this is worthy of your attention.
Ulitsa Varvarka 6, Building 1
10. The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts
Музей изобразительных искусств имени Пушкина
This is one of my favorite museums. It looks like an ancient temple of Greece but in the center of urban life. Art Collection is different, you will find sculptures, paintings, and graphics of outstanding European artists of different centuries.
This building is more than 100 years old.
Mostly there are many people want to get there and avoiding waiting in a line you may buy tickets online.

First trip abroad - Moscow, Russia (Re-uploaded)
This is my very first time travelling abroad back in 2016 and I met my online friends in real life. What a crazy story! haha Me and my malaysian friend, jordan decided to fly to moscow russia in september 2016 and it was very cold weather at that time. But we still enjoyed our days exploring the city of moscow .
Main attractions moscow:
1. St Basil's Cathedral
2. Moscow Kremlin
3. Red square
4. Gorky park
5. Bolshoi Theatre
6. Lenin's Mausoleum
7. All-Russian Exhibition Center
Reasons you should visit Moscow:
The city of Moscow is the largest historical, cultural, and administrative city in the entire Russian Federation. The capital of the most gigantic country on the planet is considered to be quite fast, lively, crowded, and mystical with its various historical neighbourhoods and hidden gems. The streets here are quite busy, and the traffic is tough; weather conditions might vary from cold to hot, and you can never predict it. Despite these climate conditions, the city remains an amazing and a picturesque one, and there are definitely a whole host of reasons to come here at least once in a lifetime.
1. MOSCOW ARCHITECTURE
In Moscow you can travel through ages just walking through the streets. Diversified architectural styles wait for you at every turn.
To see the beauty of ancient Russian architecture, visit the Kremlin or Kolomenskoe Museum. These places keep the unique Russian style, original and exceptional.
The Moscow estates are good examples of the romantic flavor of the XVIII-XIX century’s architecture.
The Home-museum of M. Gorky is situated in in a luxurious house built by F. Shechtel, well-known Russian architecture at beginning of the XX century. It is a fantastic example of Art-Nouveau style, one of the few saved places from that epoque, open to visitors.
You can find constructivism in architecture, the most striking manifestation of Russian avant-garde, not far from the Arbat Street. The Soviet Empire style can be found on most of the Moscow central avenues and Tverskaya Street. The White Square Business District is a remarkable example of contemporary city building.
2. MOSCOW ART
Moscow has a great amount of exceptional museums and galleries. The State Tretyakov Gallery, The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, The Multimedia Art Museum, Moscow Museum of Modern Art and lots of other museums have unique collections and hold remarkable exhibitions.
Lots of Moscow former industrial areas have become interesting cultural spaces, undoubtedly worth visiting. Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, Center for Contemporary Art Winzavod, ARTPLAY Center of Design, Flacon Design Factory are the new city meccas of cultural life. You can find here galleries, concept stores, cafes, educational activities and lots of art events – from designer fairs to concerts, exhibitions of Russian and foreign artists.
3. CITY PARKS
The parks have undoubtedly become the pride of Moscow. These city areas have turned into well groomed nature spots, with enormous amount of things to do for the last few years.
Have a walk, do the sports, play a board game, meet your friends in one of the cafes and restaurants, watch a movie or go to a concert – all these is available in Moscow parks. The Gorky Park, Sokolniki, Fili and also recently opened Zaryadye – are only a small part in the diversity of Moscow green areas.
4. Orthodox churches
The Moscow region has around 830 Orthodox churches, monasteries and chapels. You may view these religious architectural masterpieces in every single neighbourhood of the city. The majority of these places are open daily to visitors, and each of them has a unique collection of religious paintings of Orthodox saints.
5. Picturesque city views
The city of Moscow is famous for its huge number of high points and spectacular city views from various neighbourhoods. One of the most popular observation points nowadays is the ‘Federation Tower’ located in the Moscow City business area; however, it’s just one of the many places where you can take a beautiful picture and view the sunset. We highly recommend it!
6. Russian cuisine
Russia offers its visitors an enormous variety of traditional dishes. Some of them are considered to be real culinary masterpieces. Only in Moscow you can find many restaurants featuring national cuisine, ranging from budget to Michelin-starred.
7. Moscow’s nightlife
‘Moscow never sleeps!’ – that’s what locals say about the city, and this is 100% true. Moscow’s nightlife is very fun, never-ending and just might get you quite tipsy. Local clubs, bars and dance halls provide many interesting options to its guests even on a Monday night.
Korennaya,Svoboda, Kursk Oblast
This ancient Holy Spring was started when a hunter in 1295 from the Rylsk area found the icon laying face down and as he lifted the icon up the spring water came flowing from the roots of the tree. That is how the Kursk Root Icon and the Monastery received their name. They both also called Korennaya (Koren' means Root in Russian). The Kursk Root Icon History is very long and having many miracles of helping people with illnesses even to the present day. Many people visit the monastery every day just to receive some of the Holy Kursk Root Water and bring it home for use on another day.

St. Petersburg has many beautiful churches and cathedrals to visit, especially during winter time. Those cathedrals are full of history in St. Petersburg and the winter with its snow makes them even better to visit.

We will visit two cathedrals today. The first one is the St. Isaac's Cathedral. From here you have a lovely view over St. Petersburg, especially during winter time. Secondly there is the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood. The history of this church in St. Petersburg is that it is build as a remembrance on the assassination on Alexander the II. Alexander the III his son constructed this church with the largest mosaic collection of the world.
During this Christmas day we still have time to explore a Christmas market in St. Petersburg. It is the winter market organised by the government of St. Petersburg. It is a completely different Christmas market you would find in Western Europe. So that makes it even better to explore this place.

By broader definitions Moscow is among the world's largest cities, being the 14th largest metro area, the 18th largest agglomeration, the 14th largest urban area, and the 11th largest by population within city limits worldwide. 25 Best Places to Visit in Eastern Europe - Travel Video
Eastern Europe might not be everyone’s number one travel destination. Communist-era buildings, the conflicts in the 1990s and border disputes in recent years have meant much of the region has been overlooked by potential tourists. But with its patchwork of pretty, pastel-colored old towns, incredible ancient history, exciting nightlife, and nature from sprawling lakes to swooping mountains, Eastern Europe is a surprising delight. Here’s a look at the best places to visit in Eastern Europe:
Putin sends a body double to Palace of Versailles, 300 years after The Moor of Peter the Great ☢
1717--2017 Political decoys - Paul Soltikoff and Abram Galtung Gannibal, The Moor of Peter the Great | May 29, 2017 France: Emmanuel Macron welcomes Russian President Vladimir the Great Putin in Versailles -- Vlad in Versailles: It's my first time in Versailles! -- Peter the Great spent several weeks in France. I invite Macron to visit Russia! -- Emmanuel Macron and Vladimir Putin address the media at Versailles -- FRANCE 24 English
Versailles was the seat of political power in the Kingdom of France from 1682, when King Louis XIV moved the royal court from Paris, until the royal family was forced to return to the capital in October 1789, within three months after the beginning of the French Revolution. Versailles is therefore famous not only as a building, but as a symbol of the system of absolute monarchy of the Ancien Régime.
Among the early projects was the repair of the roof over the Hall of Mirrors; the publicity campaign brought international attention to the plight of post-war Versailles and garnered much foreign money including a grant from the Rockefeller Foundation. Concurrently, in the Soviet Union (Russia since 26 December 1991), the restoration of the Pavlovsk Palace located 25 kilometers from the center of Leningrad – today's Saint Petersburg – brought the attention of French Ministry of Culture, including that of the curator of Versailles.[16]
Pavlovsk Palace was built by Catherine the Great's son Paul. The czarevitch and his wife, Marie Feodorovna, were ardent francophiles, who, on a visit to France and Versailles in May and June 1782, purchased great quantities of silk, which they later used to upholster furniture in Pavlovsk.
Paul I (Russian: Па́вел I Петро́вич; Pavel Petrovich) (1 October [O.S. 20 September] 1754 – 23 March [O.S. 11 March] 1801) reigned as Emperor of Russia between 1796 and 1801.
Abram Petrovich[a] Gannibal, also Hannibal or Ganibal, or Abram Hannibal or Abram Petrov (Russian: Абра́м Петро́вич Ганниба́л; 1696 – 14 May[1] 1781), was a Russian nobleman, military engineer and general. Kidnapped as a child and presented as a gift to Peter the Great, he was raised in the Emperor's court household as his godson. He is a great-grandfather of the author and poet Alexander Pushkin.[3]
Alexander Pushkin used his great-grandfather Abram Gannibal as the model for Ibrahim, the lead character in his unfinished novel The Moor of Peter the Great. After leaving school in 1817, Pushkin met Abram's last surviving son, Peter.
Peter the Great (Russian: Пётр Вели́кий, tr. Pyotr Velikiy), Peter I or Peter Alexeyevich (Russian: Пётр Алексе́евич; 9 June [O.S. 30 May] 1672 – 8 February [O.S. 28 January] 1725)[a] ruled the Tsardom of Russia and later the Russian Empire from 7 May (O.S. 27 April) 1682 until his death, jointly ruling before 1696 with his elder half-brother, Ivan V.
In 1716 and 1717, the Tsar revisited the Netherlands, and went to see Herman Boerhaave. He continued his travel to the Austrian Netherlands and France.
A political decoy is a person employed to impersonate a politician, to draw attention away from the real person or to take risks on that person's behalf. This can also apply to military figures, or civilians impersonated for political or espionage purposes.
The political decoy is an individual who has been selected because of strong physical resemblance to the person being impersonated. This resemblance can be strengthened by plastic surgery. Often, such decoys are trained to speak and behave like the target.
Joseph Stalin/Rashid/Felix Dadaev (1940s–50s)
Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin is alleged to have had a double, identified only as Rashid. Officials at the KGB allegedly learned that Rashid was a double for Stalin and employed him to replace Stalin for some public functions after World War II. Rashid spent two years studying with Alexei Dikiy, an actor who played the role of Stalin in propaganda films. Rashid claimed there were other Stalin lookalikes employed by the KGB, although he never met any. He claimed to have heard of another Stalin double who was hired to live in the dictator's dacha outside of Moscow in the late 1940s and 1950s when Stalin was dying. This double filled in for Stalin for media events and at times when Stalin had to meet government functionaries and others. Rashid died in 1991, aged 93.[11]
In 2008 another one of Stalin's doubles, Felix Dadaev, came forward, having written a book about his adventures as a political decoy. The Putin government gave him permission to tell his story at age 88.[12] He appeared in a 2014 documentary about Stalin's last days on German television.[13]
