Pike Fishing UK Lake Windermere 2018 Ft River Piker Pike fishing in Winter EP.385
Pike fishing in winter with River Piker channel 2018. We fish in Lake Windermere for big Pike. We do catch a few Big Pike but the monster fish elude us. River Pike fishing was out of the question that day with the amount of rain we had the week before, as all the rivers where flooded.
Paul and Ady usually catch good fish when river fishing in the UK. They have many good videos on catching pike in rivers as well as lakes. This video is so close to 2018 that I will include it in the 2018 series of videos, but it was really filmed in the last few days of 2017.

Lake District - Windermere Lake, Cumbria England UK???????? - Part 1
Lake District - Windermere Lake, Cumbria England
_______________________________________________
The Lake District, also known as the Lakes or Lakeland, is a mountainous region in North West England. A popular holiday destination, it is famous for its lakes, forests and mountains (or fells), and its associations with William Wordsworth and other Lake Poets and also with Beatrix Potter and John Ruskin. The National Park was established in 1951 and covers an area of 2,362 square kilometres. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017.
The Lake District is located entirely within the county of Cumbria. All the land in England higher than 3,000 feet (914 m) above sea level lies within the National Park, including Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England.[4] It also contains the deepest and largest natural lakes in England, Wast Water and Windermere respectively.

Rydal Water & Loughrigg Fell Walk. Lake District. Cumbria. 04/05/12.
A video showing views around Rydal Water and Loughrigg Fell in the Lake District, Cumbria. Filmed on 4th May 2012.
Loughrigg Fell is a hill in the central part of the English Lake District. It stands on the end of the long ridge coming down from High Raise over Silver How towards Ambleside, and is separated from its neighbours by the depression of Red Bank.
The fell is surrounded by an unusual amount of open water. To the north the River Rothay flows through Grasmere and Rydal Water before bending around the eastern side of Loughrigg. On the southern flank the River Brathay runs from Elter Water and is also fed by the outfall from Loughrigg Tarn. The two rivers merge at Clappersgate on the south eastern corner of the fell, just before flowing into Windermere. The western boundary is formed by Red Bank (535 ft) on the ridge to Silver How. Unnamed becks fall north and south into Grasmere and Elter Water.
Loughrigg has two subsidiary ridges on its eastern flank. Lanty Scar provides the obvious line of ascent from Rydal, while the spur rising over Todd Crag leads up from Clappersgate. There are many areas of woodland on the lower slopes, giving way to a wide expanse of bracken clad knolls and small tarns on the top. The summit is on the western side of the plateau and is identified by an Ordnance Survey column. Many lower tops also decorate the fell, sometimes to the confusion of visitors. Despite the girdle of lakes only Windermere is visible from the summit. The vista is open to the south over the green and blue country of Furness, with many fells in view on the other three sides.
The fell is easily accessible, being surrounded by roads on all sides. Ambleside and the smaller settlements of Skelwith Bridge, Elterwater, Grasmere and Rydal are all within reach, as is the popular double car park at White Moss Common. Many paths run over the fell including the well known Loughrigg Terrace, a level path with superb views of Grasmere, Helm Crag and the Fairfield group. Just beyond the eastern end of the Terrace are some quite remarkable caves, caused by quarrying. They penetrate about 150 feet (46 m) into the hillside and are often full of water; there are other small mines on the fell.

Places to see in ( Ambleside - UK )
Ambleside is a town in Cumbria, in North West England. Historically within the county of Westmorland, Ambleside is situated at the head of Windermere, England's largest water. The town is within the Lake District National Park. Ambleside is also home to the headquarters of Brathay Exploration Group, a youth charity based just beyond Clappersgate on the road to Hawkshead.
Ambleside is administered by South Lakeland District Council and forms part of the Lakes civil parish but from 1894 to 1935 it was a separate urban district council. ‘Steamers' (in reality diesel-powered ferries) run to Bowness-on-Windermere and Lakeside offering fine views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Ambleside is a base for hiking, mountaineering and mountain biking. It has a number of hotels, guest houses, pubs and restaurants as well as shops. In particular, there are a number of shops selling equipment for walkers and climbers in the town. Ambleside is a popular starting point for the Fairfield horseshoe, a hillwaking ridge hike.
Ambleside features an oceanic climate, but being within the Lake District it does experience higher annual rainfall than the average for the North-West of England. Parts of the town have been flooded on numerous occasions, with the River Rothay breaking its banks during Storm Desmond in December 2015.

This Is The Lake District
Having spent years photographing the Lake District for our holiday cottage company we thought it was time to ramp things up and create Time Lapse and video movies.
Shot by Jack Serginson and Ollie Gough with a bit of help from myself I think they have produced something quite special, highlighting Cumbria's Lake District and showing why this stunning area is the perfect holiday destination. Look out for re-edits and new films. Big thanks to Cam, Ram and Set from Reforest Records for running out a great sound track at short notice. Oh and by the way, in their urgency to get the film up before disappearing to Norway for their next great time lapse adventure, they made a few spelling typos - Tut Tut boys, I guess I should have checked.
If you want to visit the Lake District then do see our Visit England inspected quality Lake District Cottages see our website at - you won't be disappointed.
If you wish to use any part of the movie please contact John Serginson at The Lakeland Cottage Company Tel 015395 38180
