Eukaristisk procession och sakramentsandakt i Vadstena 1

Den eukaristiska processionen vid det katolska stiftets vallfärd till Vadstena inleds i Birgittasystrarnas (den urspungliga grenen) kapell i Vadstena med bön. Därefter ger diakonen Kenneth Pålsson monstransen till biskop Anders som börjar gå till Blåkyrkan i Vadstena.

This is the original medieval branch Ordo Sancti(ssimi) Salvatoris founded in 1370 by the only canonized Swedish saint, S:ta Birgitta (S:t Bridget), Patroness of Europe.

Prayers for the processional, then the deacon is handing over the Holy sacrament to bishop Anders Arborelius OCD and he is on the way to the so called Blue church, Vadstena convent church (belonging to the church of Sweden) where the relics of S:t Bridgets are.

Vadstena monastery is a monastery for the words of the Holy Savior in Vadstena, Vadstena municipality, Östergötland County. The medieval monastery was designed and designed by Holy Birgitta and was inaugurated in 1384. It was a double monastery that included both nuns and monks from the Birgitin Order. It played an important role in the Middle Ages, when it was the monastery of other monasteries of the same order. Vadstena monastery was closed in 1595, but in 1935 Birgitta returned there and started a guesthouse. A regular monastery, S: ta Birgitta's abbot Pax Mariae was re-established in Vadstena in 1963. It is located just south of the medieval monastery area. It was recognized in 1988 by the Order Congregation in Rome as an independent priority. In 1991, the monastery was recognized as an abbey, with an abbot as the monastery leader.
