Much more than just a simple bus tour, this special entertainment bus will take you for a ride through the historied streets of Tokyo's Asakusa, home to famous landmarks like Sensoji Temple, the Nakamise shopping street, and now nearby Tokyo Skytree. As you enjoy a leisurely bus ride with the bilingual tour DJ providing a unique style of commentary... all of a sudden a samurai and ninja appear just outside the bus! The anachronistic pair seem to be fighting over something and have somehow slipped forward in time to modern day Tokyo. Follow along in the bus and become a part of the show as the samurai chases the ninja through Asakusa until their final showdown!

Samurai (侍?) is the term for the military nobility of pre-industrial Japan. According to translator William Scott Wilson: In Chinese, the character 侍 was originally a verb meaning to wait upon or accompany a person in the upper ranks of society, and this is also true of the original term in Japanese, saburau. In both countries the terms were nominalized to mean those who serve in close attendance to the nobility, the pronunciation in Japanese changing to saburai. According to Wilson, an early reference to the word samurai appears in the Kokin Wakashū (905--914), the first imperial anthology of poems, completed in the first part of the 10th century.[1]
By the end of the 12th century, samurai became almost entirely synonymous with bushi (武士), and the word was closely associated with the middle and upper echelons of the warrior class. The samurai followed a set of rules that came to be known as bushidō. While they numbered less than 10% of Japan's population[2] samurai teachings can still be found today in both everyday life and in modern Japanese martial arts.

We are the Hiroshima Castle Tourism PR Corps called the Aki Hiroshima Busho-Tai. We carry out hospitality activities for tourists at Hiroshima Castle every weekend. Meeting with us will surely give you great memories of Hiroshima.

Two Samurai parade around the castle.
Time: Every Saturday and public holiday at 13:00 to 15:00
Location: Tenshukaku (Castle Tower) to Ninomaru (Outer Citadel) at Hiroshima Castle

*Performances and parades may be cancelled in the event of rain.

After JSDF war games are completed in the Fuji Training Ground, a mysterious storm sends First Lieutenant Akiyoshi Iba and his subordinates to the Warring States Period, 400 years from the present time.
