Don't Tell My Mother I'm in Iran
Don't Tell My Mother is a television programme hosted by Diego Buñuel and shown on the subscription television channel Nat Geo Adventure.
Start-phrase- Don't tell my mother that I'm in Iran. While one may not necessarily associate Iran with hip-hop, host Diego Buñuel checks out an underground rap show in Tehran, featuring a performance by a local mullah's son. With a huge following and representatives from more than 30 countries, Diego attends the Olympics of Koran reading where participants memorise and recite entire chapters of the Koran from heart.
Meeting with a Jewish antiques dealer in Tehran, Diego shares alcohol made from grapes before visiting one of the city's synagogues and heading over to the Iranian parliament with one of its Jewish members. In Esfahan, Diego takes in a local basketball game and hits the town afterwards with an American player finding stardom in Iran. At Tehran's Museum of Contemporary Art, Diego examines works of Picasso, Jackson Pollack, Andy Warhol, Monet and more - all of which have remained in basement storage since 1979. At the Caspian Sea, Diego hitches a ride with police who monitor the waterways for caviar poachers.
The story of a US citizen returning to Iran after 50 years
A short talk with the American tourist about revisiting Iran after half a century
“‘Are you sure you wanna go to Iran?’ some of my friends asked me after they knew about my trip to Iran.” Says Allen. The American retired Asian studies professor of San Diego State University who decides to visit Iran again after half a century.
Dr. Allen Wittenborn, who is 80 years old now, visited Iran first in 1969. It was when the former King was in power. He started his journey from London and visited many cities and countries like Paris, Prague, Istanbul, etc. and then arrived in Tehran. It was when he was astonished by the modern, open atmosphere of Tehran. He believes the society was comparable to European countries and even the US.
However, this time Allen was in Iran for 15 days on our Persia in depth tour and had the chance to visit many more cities like Kashan, Isfahan, Yazd, Shiraz and other small villages in between. In this interview, he tells us about his experience and his most favorite tourist site.
Allen decided to visit Iran to see himself the real picture of Iran apart from the engineered picture that the media lead people to believe. Therefore as an American citizen who has been in Iran 50 years ago and who loves traveling, it would be really compelling to hear about his experience of traveling in Iran and what he liked or didn’t on his trip.

The answer is for passengers from all over the world
The Trans-Iranian Railway – Crossing the Alborz mountains by train
The Trans-Iranian Railway was a major railway building project started in 1927 and completed in 1938, under the direction of the Persian monarch, Reza Shah, and entirely with indigenous capital.
The railway connected Bandar Shah (now: Bandar Torkaman) in the north and Bandar Shahpur (now: Bandar-e Emam Khomeyni) in the south via Ahvaz, Ghom and Tehran. During the land reforms implemented by Mohammad Reza Shah in 1963 as part of the “White Revolution” the Trans-Iranian railway was extended to link Tehran to Mashhad, Tabriz, and Isfahan.

????????L'IRAN E' SICURO?- viaggio nell'antica Persia
