Shiraz Iran
Shiraz (Listeni/ʃiːˈrɑːz/; Persian: شیراز, Šīrāz, Persian pronunciation: [ʃiːˈrɒːz], About this sound pronunciation (help·info)) is the sixth most populous city of Iran[3] and the capital of Fars Province (Old Persian as Pârsâ). At the 2011 census, the population of the city was 1,460,665 and its built-up area with Shahr-e Jadid-e Sadra (Sadra New Town) was home to 1,500,644 inhabitants.[4] Shiraz is located in the southwest of Iran on the Roodkhaneye Khoshk (The Dry River) seasonal river. It has a moderate climate and has been a regional trade center for over a thousand years. It is regarded as one of the oldest cities of ancient Persia.
The earliest reference to the city, as Tiraziš, is on Elamite clay tablets dated to 2000 BC.[5] In the 13th century, Shiraz became a leading center of the arts and letters, due to the encouragement of its ruler and the presence of many Persian scholars and artists. It was the capital of Persia during the Zand dynasty from 1750 until 1781, as well as briefly during the Saffarid dynasty. Two famous poets of Iran, Hafez and Saadi, are from Shiraz, whose tombs are on the north side of the current city boundaries.
Shiraz is known as the city of poets, literature, wine and flowers.[6] It is also considered by many Iranians to be the city of gardens, due to the many gardens and fruit trees that can be seen in the city, for example Eram Garden. Shiraz has had major Jewish and Christian communities. The crafts of Shiraz consist of inlaid mosaic work of triangular design; silver-ware; pile carpet-weaving and weaving of kilim, called gilim and jajim in the villages and among the tribes.[7] In Shiraz industries such as cement production, sugar, fertilizers, textile products, wood products, metalwork and rugs dominate.[8] Shirāz also has a major oil refinery and is also a major center for Iran's electronic industries: 53% of Iran's electronic investment has been centered in Shiraz.[9] Shiraz is home to Iran's first solar power plant.[10] Recently the city's first wind turbine has been

Hafiz Shiraz Tomb, Iran, 19.4.2013
Hafiz Shirazi Muhammad Hāfez-e Shīrāzī, (1325–1389 AD) was a great classical Iranian poet. His collected works composed of series of Persian literature are to be found in the homes of most people in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, who learn his poems by heart and use them as proverbs and sayings to this day. His life and poems have been the subject of much analysis, commentary and interpretation, influencing post-fourteenth century Persian writing more than any other author. His influence in the lives of Iranians can be found in frequent use of his poems in Persian traditional music, visual art and Persian calligraphy. His tomb is a most favorite visiting place in Shiraz for all kind of visitors. Adaptations, imitations and translations of Hafez' poems exist in all major languages of the world. He is buried in north of Shiraz in a beautiful ‘garden tomb’.

Darwaza-e-Qora'n, Shiraz Iran, 18.4.2013
Derwaza-e-Quran Qur'an Gate or Darvāzeh Qor'ān) is a historic gate in the northeastern entrance of the city of Shiraz, Iran on the way to Isfahan, between Baba Kouhi and Chehel Maqam Mountains near Allah-O-Akbar Gorge. The Gate was first built during the reign of 'Azud ad-Dawla, Amir of Fars in 10th Century AD, from Abbaside Dynasty. By the time of the Zand dynasty(middle of 18th century), it had sustained a lot of damage, so it was restored and a small room on top was added, in which were kept two hand-written Qur’āns by Sultan Ibrahim Bin Shahrukh Gurekani, Governor of Shiraz from 1415-1435. The two Qur’āns are known as Hifdah-Man. Travelers passing underneath the gates were believed to receive the blessing of the Holy Book as they began their trip or journey from Shiraz. During the Qajar dynasty(1785-1925 AD), the gate was damaged by multiple earthquakes; it was later restored by Mohammad Zaki Khan Nouri. In 1937 the two Qur’āns were taken from the gate and were taken to the Pars Museum in Shiraz, where they remain today. In 1949 the arch of the gate was restored by Hosein Igar, a merchant also known as E'temad Al-Tejar. Today the Quran Gate is part of a city park where Shirazis and tourists relax and picnic during their leisure hours. Near the gate is buried a famous Persian poet, Khawjo-e-Kirmani, in a tomb. His statue is also placed near his tomb.

Night Sun - Mausoleum (The Tombs EP)
The foundation of what would become MAUSOLEUM started in the mid 2000's when singer/ bassist Richard Forbes and guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Joseph Elaschuk met at an abandoned brick factory in Toronto. This place was a haven for young misfits, with slim police surveillance, mass attendance and light arson. I met some of my closest friends at The Brickworks! recalls Rich. A few years later they found themselves living together in what would be known on the streets as 'rat house'. With little interference from the slumlords and junkie neighbors, the two would stay up all night making obscure noise and throwing the occasional rave.

About Shaikh Saadi:
Saadi was born in Shiraz, Iran, according to some, shortly after 1200, according to others sometime between 1213 and 1219.[6] In the Golestan, composed in 1258, he says in lines evidently addressed to himself, O you who have lived fifty years and are still asleep; another piece of evidence is that in one of his qasida poems he writes that he left home for foreign lands when the Mongols came to his homeland Fars, an event which occurred in 1225.[7] Saadi was a Sunni Muslim.[8]
It seems that his father died when he was a child. He narrates memories of going out with his father as a child during festivities.
After leaving Shiraz he enrolled at the Nizamiyya University in Baghdad, where he studied Islamic sciences, law, governance, history, Persian literature, and Islamic theology; it appears that he had a scholarship to study there. In the Golestan, he tells us that he studied under the scholar Abu'l-Faraj ibn al-Jawzi (presumably the younger of two scholars of that name, who died in 1238).[9]
In the Bustan and Golestan Saadi tells many colourful anecdotes of his travels, although some of these, such as his supposed visit to the remote eastern city of Kashgar in 1213, may be fictional.[10] The unsettled conditions following the Mongol invasion of Khwarezm and Iran led him to wander for thirty years abroad through Anatolia (where he visited the Port of Adana and near Konya met ghazi landlords), Syria (where he mentions the famine in Damascus), Egypt (where he describes its music, bazaars, clerics and elites), and Iraq (where he visits the port of Basra and the Tigris river). In his writings he mentions the qadis, muftis of Al-Azhar, the grand bazaar, music and art. At Halab, Saadi joins a group of Sufis who had fought arduous battles against the Crusaders. Saadi was captured by Crusaders at Acre where he spent seven years as a slave digging trenches outside its fortress. He was later released after the Mamluks paid ransom for Muslim prisoners being held in Crusader dungeons.

-This video has no negative impact on the original works (It would actually be positive for them)
-This video is also for teaching purposes.
-It is not transformative in nature.
-I only used bits and pieces of videos to get the point across where necessary.
We make these videos with the intention of educating others in a motivational/inspirational form. We do not own the clips and music we use in most cases. Our understanding is that it is in correlation to Fair Right Use, however given that it is open to interpretation, if any owners of the content clips would like us to remove the video, we have no problem with that and will do so as fast as possible. Please message us on YouTube or Facebook if you have any concerns.
We believe these videos are fair use because:
They are transformative in a positive sense, we take clips from various sources to help create an atmospheric feeling that will help people in hard situations in their life.
We also do not wish to use the heart of any piece of work that would perhaps decrease the market value of the original content, if anything we hope to promote the content so that people can reach out and subsequently increase the market value.
Lastly these videos are to educate people in an entertaining fashion. Given these are very short videos, the short parts we use within them act as a catalyst to further reading.
