Fiji Experience Part 1: mud pool in Nadi and National Park in Lautoka
This is a snap shot of my trip to Fiji in two parts. I went on this trip with my very good friend G in June 2012. Here we used Lonely Plant guidebook as our start point to discover Fiji. We started in Nadi which is not necessarily an interesting town. However, its surroundings are interesting. Sabeto Hot Springs and Garden of the Sleeping Giant are wonderful and a must-see. From Nadi we went to see Lautoka, which in my opinion is much cleaner and more beautiful than Nadi. It's a nice town to walk around and organise a trip to the Koroyanitu National Park which is inhabited by native Fijians who live there in villages. You can also organise a stay in one of the villages if you wish. Lautoka is also a great spot for a transfer to Yasawas or Mamanucas islands. Fijians living on these islands often come to the mainland by boats for shopping and this is when they take visitors with them. This can be oragnised in Lautoka through tourist center or an agent. Another option is buying a Bula pass which is a hop on/off pass. Yet, we discovered that oragnising a private transport was much cheaper.

Episode 8; 2017 Lautoka, Fiji Tour - Sleeping Giant Zipline, Sabeto Mud Pools & More (Full Length)
Lautoka is one of the largest sugar cane producers in Fiji. On this port of call, we visited Sleeping Giant Zipline park, where we went ziplining, and then hiked up well marked trails to two different gorgeous waterfalls. On the way back from ziplining, we then stopped by a natural hot spring, with mud pools at Sabeto. We got covered in the legendary mud, and after drying and exfoliating, rinsed off the mud in multiple hot springs pool, leaving clean and refreshed. We ended the day in Lautoka visiting First Landing, a hotel on the coast near Lautoka that has a tiny man made island just offshore, and connected to the beach by a small footbridge. The tiny man made island is shaped like a large bare foot print. The kids ran through the 'toes' of the footshaped tiny palm laden island, ran wild, played chase, and climbed palm trees. 'First Landing' is where the first Fijian settlers arrived hundreds of years ago. Noah (age 10) and Nicholas (age 6); Full Lenth Video / Unedited / Unscripted.
