Matunuck Beach in Rhode Island, Christmas 2012 (After Hurricane Sandy)
A video of Matunuck Beach / South Kingstown Town Beach in South Kingstown, RI on Christmas day, 2012. This is the beach near Roy Carpenter's and Mary Carpenter's beach meadow and the Ocean Mist bar. Hurricane Sandy came through only two months prior and wiped out most of the usable beach area. This beach has been unfortunately eroding away for years.

I always think of my friend Jeff Parker when I walk on Second Beach below Saint Georges, a beautiful school in Newport County, Middletown, RI. Jeff and I went to Fessenden together, an all boys school in West Newton, MA. He taught me how to wrestle and laugh. He died of a massive aneurysm in the middle of a home lacrosse game. I think there should be more money put toward finding a way to not only screen for the gene that causes this terrible killer but also find a way to stop it from ever happening. In this video I'm with my dog, Pepper.
