Rev. Fr. Eduardo C. Albiño, O.Carm. succumbed to cardiac arrest at 7:35 A.M. last June 17, 2014 (Tuesday) at San Francisco Doctors' Hospital in San Francisco, Agusan del Sur. Fr. Eddie or Fr. Ed hails from Escalante City, Negros Occidental; he professed his vows as a Carmelite on July 16, 1973 and was ordained a priest on December 19, 1976. Throughout his Carmelite ministry, he was assigned as Parish Priest, Social Action Director, Formator, Chaplain, and School President. He was the first Filipino Commissary Provincial (Superior) and served the Provincial Commissariat of the Philippines for nine years. At the time of his demise, he is a Provincial Councilor, Provincial Secretary, Prior of the Carmelite Monastery of Sts. Elijah and Elisha and Parochial Vicar of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in San Francisco, Agusan del Sur (in the Diocese of Butuan). Let us pray for his eternal rest and peace.
