Description: Sada Shin Noh comprises a series of purification dances as part of the ritual changing of the rush mats performed every year on 24 and 25 September at the Sada Shrine in Matsue City, Japan. Dancers hold the rush mats to purify them before offering them to the deities to sit upon. Diverse types of dance are performed on a stage specially constructed within the shrine, accompanied by singing, flute and drums. Sada Shin Noh is transmitted from generation to generation by the community.

旧国幣小社・島根県・佐太神社 (Sada Shrine)
どうも、管理人のヒロリンです。
今回は島根県松江市に鎮座する佐太神社を紹介します。
出雲大社があることで有名な旧出雲国の二宮神社で、戦前の近代社格制度では国幣小社に列格した名社です。
佐太神社の「佐太（さだ）」とは岬の意味。それゆえ、かつて島根半島の一円は「狭田国（さだのくに）と称され、社名はその地の祖神（おやがみ）であることを示しています。
鳥居を通って参道を進むと、参拝者を迎えるのは大社造（出雲大社の本殿もこの様式）の社が三殿並立した珍しい建築様式の本殿。国の重要文化財にも指定されています。
特に正面から見て左に鎮座する南殿と呼ばれる建物は通常の大社造とは逆の構造になっていて、これは佐太神社でしか目にすることはできません。
主祭神の佐太大神（さだのおおかみ）は旧出雲国でもっとも尊いとされる四大神の一柱。同神は開運・招福の神様として、参拝客を幸せに導くとされています。
三殿並立した圧倒的な迫力の本殿を見るだけでも参拝の価値がある神社です。機会があれば是非参拝してみてください。
Sada Shrine is a Shinto shrine in Matsue, Shimane Prefecture, Japan. The Taisha-zukuri north, central and south halls of 1807 are Important Cultural Properties.
In 1871, the shrine was ranked as a Kokuhei Shōsha (National shrine of the 3rd rank) under the Modern system of ranked Shinto shrines of State Shinto.
Sada of Sada Shrine means a cape. Therefore, the whole area of Shimane Peninsula was once called “Sadanokuni” and the name of the shrine shows that the deity is the ancestor of the region.
As you walk along the approach to the shrine through the torii gate, you will be greeted by the “Taisha-zukuri” style shrine that stands side by side in a rare architectural style.
In particular, the structure called Minamidono, which is located on the left when viewed from the front, has the opposite structure to the normal “Taisha-zukuri”, and can only be seen at Sada Shrine.
The main enshrined deity, Sada no Okami, is one of the four most venerable gods in the former Izumo Province. The god is said to lead visitors to happiness as the god of good luck and good fortune.

佐太神社は『出雲風土記』に登場する由緒ある神社で、出雲四大社の一つとされます。
少なくとも天平５年（７３３）以前より存在する最古クラスの神社です。
大社造りの社殿が三つ並んだ珍しい三殿並立は、中央の中殿が国の重要文化財です。
ここに主神・佐太大神が祀られています（３殿合わせて１２神が祀られています）。
又北殿に天照大神(あまてらすおおみかみ)、南殿にスサノウノ尊(みこと)がそれぞれ祀られています。
佐太大神は、風土記によると、支佐加比売（きさかひめ）が、加賀の潜戸で大神をお生みになったと伝えられています。
佐太大神は、かって島根県西部から秋鹿郡東部にかけて存在していた佐太の国（狭田の国）で信仰されていた神でした。
それだけに当社の歴史は古く、社格も出雲二宮をもち、江戸時代には、三郡半の幣頭も務めました。
前を流れる佐陀川を開削した清原太兵衛（１７８５年：天明５年、７７歳）は、佐太神社の神領を削るため、神社に１００日もかよって、神の怒りを収めたといわれています。
９月２４日、２５日の御座替神事(ござかえしんじ)で披露される神楽・佐陀神納は国の重要無形民俗文化財です。
また１１月２０日から２５日開催の神在祭は、県内外からの参拝客でにぎわいます。
鮮やかな色彩を残す平安時代後期の彩絵桧扇や、室町時代の甲冑など重要文化財４点のほか多数の美術工芸品を所蔵しています。

前回の日赤検診以来のアップです。あまり芳しくなかったため、妻も行方不明になり、私もこの二週間原因不明の熱（３８度くらい）で寝込んでいました。ある意味私の免疫群（白血球と中のリンパ球）が壮絶な戦いをしていたためとも取れるので、解熱剤は一切使用せず我慢しました。さすがに体力が激減しました。昨日2/23はまた日赤の検診日だったのですが、治療は何もしてなく、自己治癒力に頼るしかないので、相変わらずわずかずつ病魔は進行しています。簡単に奇跡は起こりませねぇ（涙！）。春ですね・・でも体力が追いつかないようです。コメントもしたりしなかったりで申し訳ありません。まさに命の燃焼でYouTubeを続けています。妻も帰ってきました・・また二人で頑張ります、応援お願いします。

Shrines in Shimane, Japan
Kamosu shrine was build in 1346 and designated as a National Treasure in 1952.
Yaegaki shrine is known as the Gods of Marriage.
Those two are my most favorite shrines in Shimane.
Yaegaki shrine's Omikuji is quite unique. It is a flat piece of paper not folded. You buy the Omikuji and bring it to Kagaminoike pond in the forest near the shrine. Then put the Omikuji with a coin on the surface of the pond. At the same time putting the Omikuji, fortune message appears on it. It's said that the sooner the Omikuji sinks in the pond, the sooner you will marry.
Omikuji is a traditional form of Japanese fortune telling in which a person's fortune is written on the piece of folded paper and is typically sold at Shinto Shrines.

Descripción: El Sada Shin Noh es un conjunto de danzas de purificación que componen el ritual de cambio de esteras de junco celebrado, los días 24 y 25 de septiembre de cada año, en el santuario de Sada en la ciudad japonesa de Matsue. Los ejecutantes bailan con esteras de junco para purificarlas antes de que sean ofrendadas a los dioses para que se sienten encima. En un escenario especialmente construido dentro del santuario se ejecutan diferentes tipos de danzas acompañadas con canciones y músicas de flautas y tambores. El Sada Shin Noh se transmite de generación en generación por la comunidad.

Description : Le Sada Shin Noh est une série de danses de purification prenant part au rituel de changement des tapis en jonc, exécutées chaque année les 24 et 25 septembre au sanctuaire de Sada à Matsue, au Japon. Les danseurs tiennent les tapis en jonc pour les purifier avant de les offrir aux dieux pour qu'ils s'assoient. 小泉八雲が絶賛 美しき洞窟「加賀の潜戸」
島根半島の北端にある松江市島根町には、ふたつの洞窟からなる「加賀（かか）の潜戸（くけど）」があり、加賀港から出る遊覧船で訪れることができる。
１０分ほどで港を守るように海に張り出した岬にある「旧潜戸」に着き、船を下りた。高さは２０メートル、奥行きは５０メートルほど。幼くして亡くなった子どもたちの霊が積んだという無数の石の塔がある。「賽（さい）の磧（かわら）」だ。空気は冷たく、波の音も遠い。塔の群れに寄り添うように立つ地蔵に手を合わせ、船に戻った。
さらに岬の先端にある「新潜戸」に向かう。船に乗ったまま通ることができる。船の幅ぎりぎり、目の前に岩が迫る西口から入った。約２００メートル続く洞窟の天井は約３０メートルと高く、水は青く光る。小泉八雲は随筆「知られぬ日本の面影」で「これ以上に美しい洞窟はとうてい想像できない」と書いた。

One of Japan’s oldest shrines, Izumo Grand Shrine, Izumo Taisha (出雲大社) lies in Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture. No one knows the exact date of when the shrine was constructed. However, the existence of the shrine was apparent in the early 700s according to Japan’s oldest chronicles.
Izumo Taisha’s main deity (kami) is the Okunininushi no Okami. According to legend, Okuninushi was creator of the land in which Japan lies as well as the ruler of Izumo. He also has another role, which is the deity of good relations and marriage. At Japanese shrines, before a prayer, we clap twice. However, at Izumo Taisha, we clap four times—twice for ourselves and twice for our partner, present or future.
The Kamiari Festival is held at Izumo Taisha every year, from the 10th to the 17th day of the 10th lunar month. During this period, it is said Shinto’s eight million deities from across Japan gather at Izumo Taisha. The 10th lunar month is known as Kamiarizuki (“month with deities”) in Izumo and Kannazuki (“month without deities”) elsewhere in Japan.
Izumo Taisha’s grounds are quite large and spacious. There are many torii gates and halls, that visitors can explore the grounds to see and experience the magnificence of this shrine.
Some places of special importance:
Matsu no Sando: walking north of the large wooden torii gate (entrance into the shrine), the road divides into 3 paths by the pine trees. Please do not use the center path, as it is said this path is reserved for the deities.
Shimenawa in Worship Hall (Haiden): as visitors enter the main shrine grounds, they will see a wooden structure with a huge sacred straw rope (shimenawa) hung across the structure. The shimenawa signifies the presence of a deity and separates divine space from the mortal world. Large shimenawa are a characteristic of this region, found also at other shrines in Izumo.
Main Hall (Honden): behind the worship hall, Honden is 24 meters tall. It is the tallest shrine building in Japan. The current structure, built in 1744, is constructed architecture style is called Taisha-zukuri. Taisha-zukuri is a purely Japanese style which predates the entry of Buddhism into Japan.
Jukusha: in the outer fence area there are two long wooden structures on both sides of the main sanctuary. Jukusha is where the deities meet when they gather for their yearly meeting.
Access Information:
Izumo Taisha is located in the outskirts of Izumo City, about one hour west of Matsue. Izumo's main railway station is called Izumoshi Station.
From Izumoshi Station
From the railway station, Izumo Taisha can be reached by either train or bus.
*By Train:
**Via Ichibata Railways. Transfer trains at Kawato Station. Disembark at Izumo Taisha-mae Station. The journey will take about 20 minutes and the one way fare is 490 yen.
From Izumo Taisha-mae station, it takes about 5 minutes on foot to the shrine.
*By Bus:
**Board the bus from bus stop number one. There is a bus departing the station every 30 minutes or so. The bus ride should take about 25 minutes and the cost is 520 yen one way.
From Matsue City
From Matsue, Izumo Taisha is most easily reached by Ichibata Railways:
*By Train:
**Board the train from Matsue Shinjiko Onsen Station. Transfer trains at Kawato Station. Disembark at Izumo Taisha-mae Station. The journey will take about 60 minutes and the one way fare is 810 yen. (Visitors have the option of purchasing a one day pass for unlimited usage of Ichibata trains for 1500 yen)
From Izumo Taisha-mae station, it takes about 5 minutes on foot to the shrine.
**For Japan Rail Pass holder, taking a JR train from Matsue to Izumoshi Station (25-40 minutes) may be better. For access information from Izumoshi Station, refer to the above “From Izumoshi Station” section.

２０１６年１月９日に松江の熊野大社に参拝しました。ここは出雲大社より格式が高いと言われる神社です。出雲大社と同じく出雲国一之宮で格式の高さを誇ります。出雲三大社はあと一つ、松江の「佐太神社（出雲国二之宮）を加えます。
出雲三大社詣の２社目です。

I went and worshiped at the Kumano big shrine of Matsue on January 9. It is a Shinto shrine said to that formality is higher than Izumo Taisha Shrine here. The Kumano big shrine is proud of high formality in Izumo country Ichinomiya as well as Izumo Taisha Shrine. Caves of Kaga, Kaga-no-kukedo(加賀の潜戸)
The Kaka-no-kukedo is a set of caves in the Kaka area, north of Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture. The area has a deeply indented coastline facing the Sea of Japan, and the unique scenery is part of Daisen-Oki National Park, and is designated as a national site of scenic beauty and a national natural treasure.
The Kaka Kukedo Sightseeing Boat departs from Marine Plaza Shimane, and offers 50-minute tours of the caves. The boat will take visitors to Shin Kukedo which appears in ancient mythology and Kyu Kukedo which is believed to be the Limbo of Infants in Buddhism.
松江市街地から日本海を目指して北上すると、複雑な地形のリアス式海岸が現れます。断崖絶壁の岬、切り込んだ入り江、ゴツゴツとした岩場が延々と続く島根半島の海岸線は、大山隠岐国立公園に指定されるほどの絶景スポット。ここ加賀地区もその一部で、「潜戸」とは「洞窟」のこと。「潜戸鼻」と呼ばれる岬の先端には、海食作用によってできたミステリアスな洞窟が2つあるのです。加賀港からは、この洞窟内を通り抜けるコースで運航される潜戸観光遊覧船が出ており、船長さんの名ガイドに耳を傾けながら探検隊気分で洞窟を見学することができます。
2つの洞窟のうち、岬の突端に位置するのが「新潜戸」。東・西・北の3方向に入口を持ち、長さ200ｍという広～いトンネル。遊覧船が中に進むと鳥居が見えてきます。実は、佐太大神（松江市鹿島町の祭神）がここでお生まれになったと『出雲国風土記』に記されており、かつては加賀神社が鎮座する神域として深く信仰されていた場所だとか。ゆえに「神潜戸」の別名もあり、長年の浸食でできた自然の造形美はまさに神秘的な異空間。グラスボートから垣間見る澄んだ海中の美しさも手伝って、厳かな気分に浸れます。
陸寄りの洞窟「旧潜戸」は、遊覧船を降りて上陸することができます。一歩足を踏み入れてビックリ。そこに広がっていたのは、死んでしまった子どもの魂が集まる「賽（さい）の河原」。「仏潜戸」とも呼ばれ、幼くして先立った子どもたちへの思いや悲しみに満ちあふれた場所なのです。幅約20ｍ、奥行き約50ｍの洞窟内には、供養のために積まれた石の塔が至る所に立ち、愛する子らに届けとばかりに衣服やおもちゃなどがお供えされています。奥深くまでビッシリと石塔や供物が並ぶ薄暗い洞窟は、まるであの世とこの世の境目のようです。
隣接しているにもかかわらず、全く違う雰囲気を持つ2つの洞窟。遊歩道が整備されており近くまで行くことはできますが、外から見ているだけでは分からない、中身の濃い約50分間のクルージングはイチオシです。
