Island Safari Jeep Tour (Antigua, 2018)
Here is some cool footage from the #IslandSafari #JeepTours photo shoot that we did about 2 weeks ago. These were Land Rover Discovery Jeeps with custom backs that can seat 10 people all with roll cages and seat belts. The island is looking nice and green after about 2 months of decent rain. The pics came out amazing and we are waiting for the final video cut. Thanks to our awesome drivers Trevor, Collin and Bruce. Tropical Adventures is Antigua's Number 1 tour operator and they operate the Excellence and Mystic Catamarans as well as the Island Safari Jeep Tours.

Walking in St. John's, Antigua - What to do on Your Day in Port
This is a quick video of our walk through the port of St. John's, Antigua. We were on a 7 day Southern Caribbean cruise on Royal Caribbean's Adventure of the Seas. Antigua is a beautiful island. In this video we walk up to St. John's Cathedral also known as the St. John the Divine, the Cathedral Church of the Diocese of North Eastern Caribbean and Aruba. It is an Anglican church perched on a hilltop in St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda. The present cathedral with its imposing white twin towers was built on a fossilized reef, in 1845, and is now in its third incarnation, as earthquakes in 1683 and in 1745 destroyed the previous structures. The iron gates on the south face of the church are flanked by pillars displaying lead Biblical figures of St John the Divine and St John the Baptist. They were taken by HMS Temple in 1756, from a French ship destined for Martinique.
Antigua is one of the 2 major islands that make up the Caribbean nation of Antigua and Barbuda. Ringed with coral reefs, the island is known for its many sandy beaches. Set along English Harbour, restored Nelson’s Dockyard, which Admiral Horatio Nelson made his base in the 1780s, includes a marina and the Dockyard Museum. Trails lead up to Shirley Heights, a former military lookout with panoramic views.

The Real Antigua And Barbuda | Antigua Island Safari Tour | Caribbean Travel Vlog
Antigua and Barbuda have had a pretty rough past! Known for their Caribbean beauty, this Island Safari Tour showed us the real...⬇ More Below ✈ Our 220 page guide on how to travel non-stop —
Antigua and Barbuda have sadly both experienced some tough circumstances over the years, but these little Caribbean beauties continue to pull tourists to the amazing beaches, food and people each year. We decided to take an island safari tour around Antigua to get a real feel for what Antigua is like outside of the tourist resorts.
Barbuda wasn't on our itinerary this time, but hopefully on our next visit to the Caribbean we will get the chance to also tour around Barbuda safari style to scope out how the island is/has recovered.
Thats a wrap on our Caribbean travel vlogs, this time in Antigua has been exactly what we needed... an eye opening experience, a luxury state and a chilled vibe. We've got nothing but love for the island and everyone we had the pleasure of meeting.

We started from St Johns, Antigua and circumnavigated the island...lots of beautiful Bays, resorts, homes, sailing vessels, etc. Antigua (pronounced Antiga) is a separate country but has a British heritage and proud of it since the Brits claimed it from the French. Is about 3.5 hours East of Miami with about 95,000 inhabitants. They are wonderful, very friendly people!

Spectacular Antigua & Barbuda – The Beach Is Just the Beginning
Take a deep cleansing breath, chillax and imagine yourself in Antigua and Barbuda with this stunning look at the twin-island nation as you embark on an amazing journey to spectacular beaches, going beyond through lush tropical landscapes.
The tropical islands of Antigua and Barbuda are located in the Northern part of the Eastern Caribbean about a thousand miles to the east of Jamaica and half that distance from Trinidad on the coast of South America.
The area of Antigua is 108 square miles, while Barbuda is 62 square miles. The population of the former is approaching 80,000, but the latter is relatively unpopulated at 1,300. Days and nights are refreshingly cooled by the gentle trade winds.
Barbuda became separated from Antigua by about 28 miles, when the sea-levels of the world rose considerably at about 10,000 BC. Today parts of Barbuda are geologically flooded to form interesting lagoons. Here may be seen the largest breeding and nesting colony of the Magnificent Frigate Bird in the world. Barbuda supports a tremendous diversity of native habitats, as yet unthreatened by development. Reef-fringed Barbuda may be one of the best kept ecological secrets in the West Indies. Her rugged scenery, beautiful beaches, (one at least 12 miles long), lagoons and abundant wildlife may be a resource as valuable as its fisheries.
Ringed with coral reefs, Antigua is known for its many sandy beaches. Visit a different beach each day of the year and not repeat yourself.
This former British Colony is a popular tourist destination on Eastern Caribbean cruises. Tourists and celebrities alike flock to this sun-soaked Caribbean island to absorb its rich history, explore its many activities, tours and attractions where the Summer lasts all 365 days of the year.
Whether you want to take to the water, or spend time on the land there’s loads to do on Antigua.
There’s the Sea Scape glass-bottomed boat for a wonderful view of marine life; the recently renovated Dboat (an old oil rig!) with its bars and ‘grown-up’ waterslides; catamaran tours which include great opportunities for snorkelling; and there’s always the chance to learn to sail!
On land you can discover the rich history and heritage of Antigua with a visit to their UNESCO world heritage area which includes Betty’s Hope, Nelson’s Dockyard and Shirley Heights. A visit to the museum in Devils Bridge is also a must.
And you’ll find facilities for golf, tennis, mountain biking, hiking and even zip rides as well as jeep safari and off-road buggy trips through the inland tropical forest.
This island has become a culinary destination because of the wealth of seafood in its oceans, the quality rums in its glasses, and the joy in its people. The restaurants offer gourmet dining with both international and authentic Caribbean and Antiguan cuisine including delights such as locally caught seafood, salt fish and curried goat with coconut rice.
Cruise ships dock at Heritage Quay by downtown St. John's, Antigua's capital city. The largest and modern of two quays (wharfs) in St. John’s, Heritage Quay is a shopper's paradise, offering two floors of a wide array of duty and tax free merchandise for travellers looking to cash in on amazing value and savings from retail prices of the USA. Heritage Quay also offers visitors a breathtaking view of St. John's Harbor, which comes alive with local and steel pan music, when cruise ships are in port.
There is also a wide selection of sports bars and specialty restaurants around to grab a tropical drink after a day of shopping fun.

Antigua Destination Guide
Just 3 hours from from Miami is Antigua, the largest island in the nation of Antigua and Barbuda.
Antigua’s capital is St. John’s, a port town of plantation shutters, iron roofs and colors as bright as our spirit. Mix up a little history and shopping down by the city’s quays, where old shop houses have been given new life as cafes, bars and duty-free boutiques.
Take a break from the noonday sun in the shade of the old Courthouse, now the home of the national museum. Then, spend a lazy afternoon walking the ramparts of the harbor’s fortifications.
Just to the north of St. John’s, you’ll find Runaway Beach and Dickenson Bay, home to some of the purest sands and finest resorts in the West Indies.
On the island’s eastern side, visit the historic sugar plantation, Betty’s Hope. A few miles east, feel the power of nature at Devil’s Bridge, a natural arch carved by Atlantic waves.
Let the breeze carry you further around the Island, to beauty spots like Half Moon Bay and Mamora Bay, then drop anchor for a while at English Harbor.
From English Harbor back to St. John’s, it’s just one perfect beach after another. Some say there are 365 beaches in Antigua, one for each day of the year. But you won’t see them all, don’t even try. Just take it easy, because the slower you move, the better you’ll feel and Antigua is all about feeling good.
