सहस्त्रधारा जलप्रपात उत्तराखण्ड की राजधानी देहरादुन के घण्टाघर से लगभग 14 किलो मीटर की दुरी पर राजपुर के पास दो पहाडियो के बीच स्थित है | गर्मीयो मे यह स्थान घुमने के लिए बेहद खुबसुरत है यंहा पर वैसे तो 12 महिने लोग घुमने आते है किन्तु गर्मियो मे लोग यंहा नहाने आते है क्योंकि यंहा आकर तैरने व नहाने का अपना ही मजा है |
यंहा पर गन्धक के पानी का भी कुण्ड है और कहा जाता है चर्म रोग या खाज खुजली गन्धक के पानी से दुर हो जाती है तो लोग इस कुण्ड मे नहाकर यंहा का पानी घर भी लेकर जाते है |
साथ ही यह स्थान प्राकृतिक सुन्दरता से भी परिपुर्ण है यंहा पर उपर पहाडी मे जाने के लिए रोपवे भी लगे है साथ ही रात्री को रूकने के लिए कई होटल व खाने के लिए अच्छे रेस्टोरेन्ट बने है |
अतः आप देवभुमी उत्तराखण्ड के प्रसिद्ध पर्यटक स्थल अवश्य आएं यंहा से देहरादुन, मसुरी, धनोल्टी, सुरकण्डा देवी मन्दिर नजदीक ही है|

Sahastradhara literally means 'thousand-fold spring'. It is a popular attraction, famous for its ecstatic beauty and therapeutic value since its water contains Sulphur. While the place can be visited any time during the year, you would love the charming beauty of the waterfall during the rainy season when the stream proposes the appearance of a gushing torrent. Sahastradhara is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Uttarakhand and is placed in the picturesque town of Dehradun.
The place exhibits true scenic beauty, where water drips from limestone stalactites, making the water Sulphur-rich and thus it is also known as Sulphur Springs. The water is fresh and sweet, and the area is a warehouse of the exquisite beauty of caves, waterfalls and steppe farming by locals. Sahastradhara is situated at about 11 km from the city of Dehradun, near the Robber's Cave. The temperature of water here is a little lower than its surroundings. Its picturesque beauty attracts a lot of travellers from faraway places. One can even enjoy a stunning view of the surroundings while enjoying a fun ropeway ride here. These ropeways provide airy trips to these gorgeous mountain tops.
Sahastradhara is located on the banks of river Badli, thus attracting a lot of travellers that come here to explore the waterfall and caves. It takes about 2-3 hours to explore the area properly. The entrance here is free of cost. Sahastradhara has a number of water pools, which are formed as a result of dripping water from the lime Stalactites. The water in these pools is considered to have medicinal properties and therapeutic value. The area has widespread serenity and tranquillity, with rich Himalayan vegetation. A dip in the Sulphur-rich water here feels cold and refreshing but is believed to have remarkable medicinal advantages. The water here has a fall of around 9 meters. Since this region has been accumulating various sediments of Lime and Sulphur since its formation, one can spot a plethora of brownish orange element in the form of caves

Sahastradhara is a beautiful and popular place, which is located approximately 11 km from Dehradun. Sahastradhara literally means 'thousand times spring'. The beautiful waterfall is about 9 meters deep. Caves located in the Baldy river and the surrounding area, combines the beauty of this place, and makes it an ideal picnic spot. The amazing aura of the place increases manifold during the monsoon, the stream of water flowing here resonates with life force and energy. It is said that due to the presence of sulfur, water in this spring has medicinal properties. People with skin diseases go to this place, take bath in the spring to treat their diseases. In addition to sulfur, water is included in lime, due to which the caves are formed.
Sahastradhara is situated near Rajpur village, just 16 kilometers from Dehradun. The sulfur waterfall here is famous for the treatment of skin diseases. There are also some other medical benefits. Due to the shops selling food and other things, this place is very suitable for picnics. A lot of families can be seen here at their leisure. Like other people, this place is also equally popular among children.It is a unique place in itself. Water falling from the hill has been naturally stored. There are many small caves that are naturally laid down inside a hill, which are not clearly visible from outside but when they enter the cave, they see that the continuous rain from the roof of the caves The shower keeps flowing. That's just Sahastradhara. Many people see their polio children bathing in sulfur water. This place is small, where few hours can definitely stop. so it was sunday in DEHRADUN and also a sunny day.. i was just getting bored in home my friends came and to roam around somewhere, then we decided to go to SAHASTRADHARA because it's the only place where it's heaven in SUMMER'S..then only we decided to share our experience with everyone..so that they can also feel the same experience as we felt and come here and have fun so we went there and felt soo good while in the pools, and the environment is also very good there.. people go crazy out there as also mentioned in the video..
it was a full on fun day..ended up well :)

It is sulphur water spring of relatively lower temperature than its surroundings. It is a warehouse of excellent beauty of caves, waterfalls and terrace farming on steppe by the local people. Its magnificent nature attracts people from faraway places. It rejuvenates the soul and mind. This place is at about 11 km from the city of Dehradun. All the transport facility as buses, taxi, autos or cabs are available to get to the Sahastradhara.
A ropeway (aerial tramway) is provided to reach the hill top in Sahastradhara to find a artificial park and a sai temple. The view is pleasant from the hill top.
The most enriched Sulphur Water Springs is in Sahastradhara near Lord Shiva Temple. It, supposedly, helps protect body against skin diseases and stomach diseases.
