Casablanca is a port city and commercial hub in western Morocco, fronting the Atlantic Ocean. The city's French colonial legacy is seen in its downtown Mauresque architecture, a blend of Moorish style and European art deco. Standing partly over the water, the enormous Hassan II Mosque, completed in 1993, has a 210m minaret topped with lasers directed toward Mecca.

Staying in a 900 year old hotel in MOROCCO | Travel vlog
I stayed a 900 year old Moroccan hotel, also known as a riyad, in Aghmat, near Marrakech in March of 2018. I spent hours wandering around the idyllic gardens of this riyad during my visit. I also made a little tour of the unique room I stayed in, which was styled in a traditional way for this part of Morocco. Since I love art and interior design, I wanted to film it so I would remember this beautiful style forever.

SueshiTravels to Chefchaouen, Morocco~ The Blue City/The Blue Pearl
Hi Everyone!
Welcome back to all those who are returning and welcome to all those who are new~
On November 25, 2019 my sister and I went to Chefchaouen, Morocco (also known as The Blue City or The Blue Pearl)!
Once my sister stated we will be going to Morocco, I knew this is the one place I really wanted to visit on our time here; however, when I did my research, a lot of people said it's really difficult to do (due to limited transportation and the short stay). But nevertheless, that did not hold me down. I researched and researched until I found out that it is actually possible to do a day trip from Marrakech to Chefchaouen without really killing the bank. At first, I proposed we take the overnight train Sunday night into Monday morning so that we can be well rested and spend all day in the Blue City and come home doing the overnight train Monday night into Tuesday morning; but unfortunately, the train was undergoing construction those three days so we could not do the overnight train. Luckily for us, we contacted the tour guide ahead of time, found out we were the only ones booked for that day and was able to book an early morning train Monday morning and book a train that night to come back to Marrakech. Yes, it was very ambitious of us, but honestly, it was worth every penny. We woke up 3am, left 4am to get to the train, had a transfer in Casablanca, arrived in Tanger around 10am and had a private chauffeur take us to Chefchaouen (for $90/person) by 12pm and give us a private tour until 2pm. Then we had lunch and was able to walk around until 4ish when we had to head back to the train station for our 7pm train to get back to Marrakech around 12am. Of course, there are cheaper alternatives to get to Chefchauouen from Tanger (as well as from Marrakech), but for us who really only had one day, this was the easiest way and honestly, it was well worth it (who knows when we will be back in Morocco).
Overall, although it was tiring and a bit pricey, it was well worth it as we were able to ride comfortably in our private van and have a tour guide all to ourselves. The Blue City is absolutely beautiful and we could have walked around for hours on end. My sister and I highly recommend everyone to make a trip out and visit.
If anyone has any questions or comments, feel free to let me know!~

Morocco hosts international fishing exhibition
An international fishing exhibition draws to a close in the Moroccan city of Agadir today (Sunday).
The Halieutis Exhibition aims to promote Morocco's fishing industry and has brought together delegations from 37 countries.
Fishing boats return to port in Agadir.
Morocco is a leading fish producer in Africa with the country's waters home to some of the richest fishing zones in the world.
This is one of 16 Moroccan ports dotted along the Atlantic coastline - six more are found on Morocco's Mediterranean shores.
The fishing industry says it directly supports around 170,000 jobs and contributes around 2.3 percent to the national GDP.
Related industries mean it's a source of income for some 670,000 people.
86,000 tonnes of fish were caught off Agadir last year. But fishermen say it is still difficult to make a profit in this business.
Captain Mostafa Chriaa is one of 15,000 fishermen based at Agadir.
He says operating costs often outstrip the price he's paid for his catch.
A minimum price for fish should be fixed because we face lot of problems. We pay for the fuel, the seamen's salaries and for the equipment, not to mention the dangers we face, he says.
After all that, when we return to port, we are surprised by the low price of fish. It is something that hurts after all the adventures because everything falls apart, he explains.
But the authorities are working to improve the industry.
Agadir is hosting the Halieutis Exhibition, a conference dedicated to the fishing sector.
It brings together 37 countries, around 20 of them from Africa.
300 Moroccan and international exhibitors are showcasing their work.
The exhibition shares its name with the Halieutis Strategy, a government initiative to make the industry more competitive and sustainable.
It's already achieved positive results, including the upgrade of boats and fishing vessels. There has also been investment in infrastructure - such as new fish markets - and improvements in combating illegal and un-declared fishing.
But the Moroccan Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, Aziz Akhannouch, says there are still areas for improvement.
We still have a lot to do because we are midway in this plan, he says.
We still need to deploy lots of efforts in the fields of control, traceability and regulations. We also need to facilitate procedures to make private investment more attractive, explains Akhannouch.
The Halieutis Strategy has also had some success marketing Moroccan seafood both nationally and internationally.
And the companies which are attending this conference hope it will be an opportunity to find more customers.
Said Mahboub, General Manager of fishing company Dakhlapes, was at the previous exhibitions in 2011 and 2013.
He credits it with an improvement in trade.
The result is positive for the sector. This plan boosted our sales. While we were selling one or two million Dirhams ($100,000 - $200,000 USD), today we sell five to ten million Dirhams ($500,000 - $1 million USD), he says.
Every two years, we improve our revenues and we meet new clients from Japan, Europe, China and from other nationalities that are making bigger orders, Mahboub says.
The conference has attracted exhibitors from across the world.
Russian, Guinean and Sengalese delegations are marketing their services.
The new European Commissioner for Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries is here to address the exhibition.
It's Karmenu Vella's first trip outside the European Union since he took up the post.
And he's using the visit to sign an aquaculture agreement between the EU and Morocco.
He hopes it will mean better links between the EU and African countries.
Small scale fishermen hope that means they'll get more for their catch when it's auctioned in the markets.

TRIP TO MOROCCO
This trip to Morocco was a rewarding experience. Until now, I was used to visiting Western countries. Morocco made me discover another way of living and another way of seeing things. Now I feel blessed to live in my social environment and there's really nothing to complain about. And still, Morocco is not the poorest country in Africa ...
The Moroccans were welcoming and their country has a promising future for tourism. I highly recommend this destination!

UNE Men's Soccer Trip to Tangier - May 2017
The team visited Tangier last month to study, train, play, and coach. They had a fabulous experience, captured, as always, by our videographer Hassan Elkourfti. This event would not have been possible without the support of President Ripich. Jack McDonald was an inspiration to all. Emily Dragon and her staff made sure everything worked like clockwork, and our staff in Tangier (Mourad, Sandy and Douaa) were, as always, superb in managing all the details. Finally, I owe many thanks to the president of the IRT soccer team who treated our students like VIP guests for the duration.
ROAD TRIP TO MARRAKECH from Sahara Desert - MOROCCO VLOG
We're on a road trip Marrakech from Sahara Desert in this Morocco vlog. It takes about 10 hours, seriously 10 hours... Was it worth it? Yes absolutely it was. Just another day as a tourist in Morocco sampling what life in Morocco is like. That said, it was a really long day and making it back to Marrakech was most welcome.
Lots of tourist attractions in Morocco and we even saw a few on the way back. I will say that going to the Sahara Desert from Marrakech is one heck of a road trip. Lots of tourism in Morocco and glad to have seen a bit of it.
The road trip Marrakech on way back you cross through the Atlas Mountains and traverse the top of High Atlas. It was same way back as we went so not much stopping luckily. The Atlas Mountain range is worth visiting on its own but that's for another day.

The BEST YOGA STUDIO in SOUTH AFRICA?? • Real Travel Vlog // Mantis & Moon Backpacker Lodge
This backpacker lodge in South Africa has the best yoga studio I've ever done yoga in! But that's not all they offer...
They also have surf lessons (
stand up paddling (
World's Highest Gorge Swing (
and a barge cruise (
I've been backpacking across South Africa and this is definitely in the top 3 backpackers in the country. It's set in a beautiful jungle/rainforest style environment as well as being walking distance from the beach.
Yoga is definitely one of the major features at Mantis and Moon. I enjoyed it so much I did it every day that I could while I was there.
The staff were so friendly they made me feel like I was part of the family as soon as I arrived.
If you're travelling through South Africa you simply must pull into this beautiful backpacker lodge.
They have a variety of accommodation available so you can be catered for no matter what kind of standards you have! haha, even a mansion!

I’m riding for a charity called Orphan Opportunities and will visit orphanages where I can throughout my route. I met the man who started the charity in Mozambique and fell in love with the passion of his own mission. It makes complete sense to me: while there are many misfortunate people in Africa who could do with some assistance, they’re often not doing much to help their own situation, relying instead on the goodwill of others, whereas children without parents have been dealt a bad hand and can’t help themselves. I’ve always said, the youth are not 100% of the population, but they are 100% of the future. If we want to help the future of Africa and the world, we need to properly raise the youth.

First Day in Casablanca| CASABLANCA, MOROCCO
Our first day in Casablanca. We headed to the main Kasba in the old Madina, which is usually the best place to start, usually being in the center of the city and leading to interesting local markets and shops. Dealing with the usual merchants and guides, who are trying to offer their services.
Join us as we walk the alleys of the old Medina through the bazaar with its different colors, products and food.
