Confirmation service 18th May 2012 - St George's Church, Singapore
Our complete confirmation service, held on the 18th of May at 7.30pm. Service leader was Rev. Philip Sinden, confirming Bishop was the Rt. Rev. John Tan. We had a total of 9 people being confirmed - 4 youth and 5 adults.
For those who may be unfamiliar with the Anglican confirmation service, it serves as an opportunity for those who may have been baptised as infants to renew their baptismal vows as an adult, and also to take communion for the first time.
This was shot with 2 cameras but I forgot to press the start button on the 2nd camera so that only comes in after the first 10 minutes.

Christmas is not about giving and receiving gifts. Its about the birth of Baby Jesus in the manger! Jesus is the reason for the season!
Revisiting St George’s Church
We visited St George’s church at Dempsey Hill on 3 Nov. This was part of the Discovering Singapore’s Best Kept Secrets series of guided State Property visits that was supported by Singapore Land Authority (SLA). It provided a rare opportunity to discover restricted spaces in Singapore. It has been 5 years since my last visit to St George’s church. I remembered that it was during my second sketchwalk with USKSG. I even won an art book during the lucky draw!
When we joined SLA on Sat, I decided to sketch at the same location. Favian who was captured in my sketch in 2013 decided to sit at the same spot again. This was his third attempt!
At the end of the day I put my sketches side by side and realised that my sketch has gotten bigger and messier!

Good Friday 2012 service - St George's Church. Singapore
Our complete Good Friday service, held on the 6th of May 2012 in St George's Church, Singapore. We did things a bit differently this year with a series of readings, each followed by a short meditation presented by Rev. Timothy Khoo.
The weather got progressively more and more unsettled throughout the service, and it poured right at the time of the last hymn, When I Survey the Wondrous Cross. Truly a moving experience!
