Archdiocese of Pontianak
Asian Youth Day (AYD) is a regional gathering of Asian Catholic Youths, organized by the Federation of Asian Bishops' Conference, Office of Laity & Family, Youth Desk and the host Diocese. The event, which is held every three years, brings together Catholic youths from all over Asian. The event is similar to the World Youth Day, but in Asia level.
The AYD enables Asian youth to experience the Joyful of the Gospel through others with different cultures and how the modern world celebrates the Gospel, and how it applies to current issues like social justice, leadership of the youths,etc. The AYD is a journey of the Asian youths in prayers, sharings, live in families, youth festival and workshops.
The AYD aims to enrich, inspire, and renew the spiritual lives of the Asian Catholic youths.
