Places to see in ( Denton - UK )
Denton is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Tameside, Greater Manchester, England, five miles east of Manchester city centre. Historically part of Lancashire, it had a population of 36,591 at the 2011 Census. Denton probably derives its name from Dane-town, an etymology supported by other place names in the area such as Danehead-bank and Daneditch-bourne. The word 'Dane' is itself derived from Anglo-Saxon denu, dene, daenland, meaning a valley. So literally Denton means valley town.
There is one main war memorial, or cenotaph, in Denton, located in Victoria Park. This memorial commemorates people from Denton and Haughton who served in two world wars. The names on the war memorial were collected from their relatives who wrote to the council with details of their loved ones who served in either war. The war memorial was unveiled on 23 July 1921. Figures from the Denton section of the Tameside council website, state that 3,500 Denton men served in the Great War (1914–1918), of that number, 369 people were killed.
The oldest church in Denton is St. Lawrence's. It is almost 500 years old, originally built in 1531. It is a listed Grade II* building. The church is also known locally as Th'owd Peg (the old peg) due to the fact, as a timber-framed building, it was constructed with wooden pegs rather than nails. It is more commonly known as the black and white church, because of its appearance. A local myth is also said to have a pirate buried within its grounds because of a grave stone marked with a skull and crossbones at its front door. In a more thorough investigation and article printed by Denton Local History Society (1995), it was found that the gravestone was actually a masonic gravestone belonging to a deceased Soldier named Samuel Bromley from the Royal Artillery. The magnificent Victorian St Anne's Church, Haughton, is a Grade I listed building, and is built in the Gothic Revival style.
One of Denton's claims to fame is that, along with Reddish South, it has the UK's least frequent train service, every Friday, in one direction, from Stockport to Stalybridge. There are bus links to Manchester city centre, Hyde, Ashton-under-Lyne and Stockport operated by Stagecoach. The M67 Denton Relief Road motorway was constructed, running east to west through Denton, between 1978 and 1981. Originally this was planned to be part of a motorway running from central Manchester to Sheffield. At its western end the M67 connects with the M60 Manchester Ring Road.

I need a professional to finish this documentary. This on camera presence or talent as we say in the industry wouldn't narrate, rather appear and address the camera in smaller demonstrative ways throughout the piece. I have two names in mind, both are famous and somewhat aligned with libertarian or Hayekian thinking. I am open to expand this short list as I may get NOs from both. Please add your suggestions in the comment section as I am getting closer to pitching this documentary.

Alford is a town in Lincolnshire, England, about 11 miles north-west of the coastal resort of Skegness, at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Its population was 3,459 in the 2011 Census.
Alford's retail outlets cater mainly for local demand. Shops include a pharmacy, a grocery, two butchers (the latest one opened in November 2016) and DIY and homeware stores. There is also a large shop (The Tiger Lily) which specialises in doll's houses and their contents. There are two supermarkets, in Church Street and West Street. The five public houses are the Half Moon Hotel, Windmill Hotel, George, Anchor and White Hart. Two of these still operate - the Half Moon having an attached tea shop and is the venue for many local activities. The Anchor is in the process of being renovated. The town has branches of Lloyds Bank and the Yorkshire Building Society. National Health and private dentists are located in South Street and Merton Lodge, and there is a doctors' surgery in West Street. A crematorium opened on the outskirts in 2008.
Market day in Alford is Tuesday. The main market is held in the Market Place, with stalls of groceries and other small items. Alford's Craft Market has been held every August bank holiday since the 1970s in the grounds of the manor house. The cattle market closed in 1987. A smaller weekly market is held in the Corn Exchange every Tuesday and Friday. Since Christmas 2005, European markets have been held on public holidays. Traders from the near continent mainly sell food items.
Beeching's Way Industrial Estate in the south-west of the town includes companies for printing and manufacturing, a builders' merchant, and a postal sorting office. The estate is built on the right-of-way of the East Lincolnshire Railway line from Grimsby to Boston, which closed on 5 October 1970 along with the local station. The naming of the industrial estate as Beeching's Way is a wry reminder of Richard Beeching, who masterminded the nationwide cutbacks in the then publicly owned British Railways.
Alford is known for its Grade I listed five-sailed windmill, a tower mill built in 1837 by Sam Oxley, an Alford millwright. In its heyday it was capable of grinding 4 to 5 tons of corn per day. The mill operated until 1955. Alford has one of several working windmills in Lincolnshire. Others can be found at Lincoln, Heckington, Boston, Waltham, Kirton in Lindsey, Sibsey and Burgh le Marsh.
Alford Manor House is one of the largest thatched manor houses in the country. In 2006 it was refurbished through National Lottery funding in association with English Heritage; interactive exhibits were installed and accessibility increased for disabled visitors. The medieval Anglican parish church of Alford is dedicated to St Wilfrid. Built in the 14th century, with restoration and additions from 1860, it is situated at the junction between Church, South and West Streets. It includes St Lawrence Chapel.

Ringing Rounds at Painswick
Ringing some rounds on the 12 at Painswick. Everyone seemed to say these were terrible, but I didn't think them to be that bad. We didn't really have enough to ring all 12 well, which was a shame. They were perhaps a little indistinct inside, and the video seems to make that quite apparent - I don't remember them being as 'blurry' as they sound here, particularly the back end.

Kirkby Stephen, St Stephen's Church Clock Chimes 2 o'clock
The clock chimes of Kirkby Stephen Parish Church in Cumbria, with Westminster Chimes and the hour strike. I could of also recorded the ting tang clock chime of St Lawrence, Appleby when I was there earlier in the day, but oh well. Kirkby Stephen church has no official dedication, but everybody calls it St Stephen's anyway.....some sources state it was dedicated to St John at one point.....but to me, it's St Stephen's. This church is also shared between the Anglican and Catholic Population of the town.
