Ss. Peter & Paul and St Philomena (Dome of Home) visit
St Peter, Paul & Philomena's Catholic Church is a Grade II listed Church in Atherton Street, New Brighton. It has a green dome, from which it has given gained the name The Dome of Home from local people. The origins of this nickname date back to the mid c.20, when sailors would recognise they were close to Merseyside when they could see the Church from the River Mersey. The interior, though in need of restoration, is a feast for the eyes in blue Tuscan marble, Art Deco gold, Carrara marble, tiled marble floor, and Art Nouveau carvings.
The Mother of God in England (film clip)
Our Lady of England Priory in Storrington, West Sussex, England holds a unique title and was once a place of pilgrimage and is linked to Arundel. Although a relatively modern Shrine it was listed as one of the places to visit on pilgrimage through England until the priory was vacated by the monks.
This clip is take from the DVD full film 'England The Dowry of Mary' available worldwide on DVD:

This film was produced in preparation for the March 2020 individual re-dedication of England to Our Lady as her Dowry.
The Shrine and Priory is the former home of Roman Catholic priests belonging to a Community of Canons Regular of Prémontré, (or 'Premonstratensians') after the place where they were founded in France in 1121. The priests are also known as Norbertines after Norbert of Xanten, the Founder of the order. Because of their white habits, another name for members of the Order is White Canons. The priests follow the Rule of St Augustine.
The land the Priory is built on was granted by Henry Fitzalan-Howard, 15th Duke of Norfolk, and the foundation stone of the Priory Church was laid in 1902 by Cardinal Bourne, Archbishop of Southwark. The Church houses the Shrine to Our Lady of England, the shrine statue being the work of the Austrian sculptor Ferdinand Stueflesser.
The poet Francis Thompson stayed at the Priory after being brought there by Wilfrid and Alice Meynell to recover from opium addiction. He wrote the poem To Daisy during his stay. Also, Hilaire Belloc wrote the poem On Courtesy on 17 May 1908 after visiting the Priory.
The first Prior of Storrington Priory was a French White Canon, Father Xavier de Fourvières (born Albert Rieu in 1853 in the Provençal village of Robion (better known today as Peter Mayle country). He was one of many French priests exiled from France in the early 1900s - he arrived to settle there in 1903 - following the aggressive acts of separation of Church and State by the French government.
England: The Dowry of Mary
The unique title of Dowry of Mary for the country of England can be traced deep into England’s Catholic past. Its significance in Our Lady’s plan for this little country, which was once known as the Island of Saints, has meaning and importance especially now, not only for Britain but for the entire Universal Church. What is the meaning of this title, its history, roots and significance and why now, after almost 1000 years, is England being re-dedicated as the Dowry of Mary in March 2020?
Presented on locations at two important Shrines to Our Lady in England; the Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation in West Grinstead and the Priory of Our Lady of England in Storrington, West Sussex , we journey through England’s history, from Glastonbury, through the 11th century with Richeldis de Faverches and Our Lady of Walsingham, the lives of many great early British Saints, the Martyrs of the Reformation, the plots of King Henry VIII, the destruction of the Shrines and holy places, images and devotions throughout the land, the counter-reformation in England, the Passionists, St John Henry Newman, St Claude de la Colombiere, Saint Dominic Savio, Pope St John Paul II’s 1982 visit to Wembley and his request for the statue of Our Lady of Walsingham to be present, the Dowry Tour, the meaning of bells, the Angelus, recusants and much more in this unique and inspiring, informative and devotional Catholic adventure through England; The Dowry of Mary.
Length and Format:
England: The Dowry of Mary is 1 hour and 16 minutes in length and is available worldwide on Region Free DVD. 4 July - St George's Brighton (Evensong) (1/2)
4K St Andrew's Church Kinson Bournemouth Dorset UK
Welcome to St Andrew's
A Community of people who firmly believes in Gods word. Seeking to build community & live for God.
Having joined the Kinson and West Howe community in July 2014, Rachel and I feel very privileged to serve this amazing church family and local community.
Here at St Andrew’s, our prayer is that all people will come to know God’s love, and be growing in their relationship with Him. There are many ways that we seek to see this happen, as we cater for the needs of everyone from birth through to their senior years.
Our regular activities include Parent & Toddlers, Women’s Fellowship and Messy Church on the first Friday of every month. These and other groups are just some of the ways we seek to use our facilities to connect with and serve our community.
With every blessing
