Living Art in Monaco's Saint-Martin Gardens
Located beside the Oceanographic Museum in Monaco-Ville, and facing the Mediterranean Sea to the southwest, the Saint-Martin Gardens were developed in the 1830's during the reign of Prince Honoré V. This slide show of the garden's foliage and bronzes features Kees Verkade's 'Invitation', Emma de Sigaldi's 'La Pieuvre', and Cyril de la Patelliere's 'Maryse Au Miror'. Bookended with quotes by Albert Camus and Erich Fromm, Scott Cossu's composition 'Pas de Deux' provides a gentle musical accompaniment.

Monaco-Ville Old Town is very picturesque and is located on a hill that is surrounded on three sides by the Mediterranean. Once you get to the top you’ll find yourself in the Place du Palais in front of the Prince’s Palace of Monaco. The palace belongs to the current prince of Monaco, Albert II. The building is open to visitors, and tickets can be bought at the box office in front of the palace.
The square in front of the palace is spacious and provides a view of Monaco’s port and the buildings running up to the Monte Carlo district. A good eye will even be able to see the famous Monte Carlo Casino. The inner Old Town is built of charming, narrow streets that dates back to the 13th century when the principality was founded.

Jardin Exotique Garden and Cave - ???????? Monaco - 4K Virtual Tour
Wandering around Jardin Exotique, a unique Exotic Garden in Monaco. Click here ▶ to see highlights and guide.
(From Wiki)
The Jardin Exotique de Monaco (French for exotic garden of Monaco) is a botanical garden located on a cliffside in Monaco.
The succulent plants were brought back from Mexico in the late 1860s. Albert I, Prince of Monaco acquired a piece of land in Les Moneghetti in 1912. He commissioned Louis Notari, the Chief Engineer of Monaco, to build a new garden with footbridges. During the construction, Notari found a grotto underneath in 1916. Meanwhile, the garden was finished in 1933. Monegasque agronomist Louis Vatrican served as its first director from 1933 to 1969.
The cave was opened to the public in 1950, but it may only be visited with specialized guides. Evidence of prehistoric human inhabitants has been found in the cave. There is a museum of Prehistoric Anthropology within the Exotic Garden displaying many of those prehistoric remains. It was founded by Prince Albert I in 1902.

Princess Grace Rose Garden in Monaco
A walk through Princess Grace Rose Garden in Monaco. We were there during the Monaco Grand Prix weekend.
Exploring Monaco-Ville, Monaco
Monaco-Ville is one of the oldest parts of Monaco; it is located on a rocky headland that extends into the Mediterranean Sea so is known locally as “Le Rocher” or “The Rock” in English.
The original settlement in Monaco-Ville is thought to have been established by the Phocaean Greeks in the 6th century BC and was originally known as Monoikos, after the temple of Hercules Monoikos and became known as Monaco in the Middle Ages.
What is better on mountain roads; a hot hatch or a luxury sports saloon?
We went on a 2000 mile road trip to The French Riviera (Monaco and the surrounding area) to drive some of the world’s best driving roads to find out! This is The Retro Lab’s Monte Carlo Rallye!
