STE. GENEVIEVE, MISSOURI
Last weekend Gina and I spent Saturday and Sunday in Ste. Genevieve for some alone time at a B & B.
The B & B ; Inn St. Gemme Beauvais & Dr. Hertich's House,
The two of us had never been Ste. Genevieve and enjoyed our stay.
The weekend held the Master Gardeners annual Garden Walk, held in downtown historic district of America's oldest French Colonial village. Typical of the 18th century time period.
Saturday afternoon we headed off to the Cave Winery, and on the way back Gina had to try out the swings at a small town Catholic Church.

ST. GENEVIEVE: A DIVINE BELGIAN STYLE WIT
Brewed in collaboration with Crown Valley Winery, this homage to the flavors found in sangria is perfect for sipping on summer patios. Over 50 pounds of fruit, including pears, oranges, limes, blueberries, pineapple, and mangoes, were added to both wine and brandy barrels from Crown Valley and aged with our Belgian-style wit over 6 weeks. The result is a juicy, full-bodied crimson ale with a bouquet of citrus and fruit, subtle peppery spice, and a crisp, slightly tannic finish.
ABV: 5.5%
IBU: 25

Malt: 2-row

The Terrace at French Village - A Missouri Winery
Delightful day at The Terrace at French Village. No doubt the owner has developed a very unique property with very inviting indoor and outdoor spaces. Love how he has captured not only the French heritage but also how this space plays tribute to the Midwestern farmers and rural America.
