Monsoon Palace or Sajjangarh Palace is a hilltop palace located at Bansdara Mountain peak at about 944 mt above sea level in Udaipur. Maharana Sajjan Singh constructed it in 1883 for using it as the summer retreat for Mewar Kings. Another big purpose for its construction is to watch the progress of Monsoon clouds.This Monsoon Palace is situated at such an altitude that it presents magnificent views of Lake Pichola, Aravali mountains, and surrounding countryside. Visitors also love the sunset of Sajjangarh Palace. There is also Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary which encircles the palace. Now it is a forest department property and open for visitors. You can have a tour of this sanctuary via a golf car or by walk. Here you'll get to see Tiger, Lion, Deer, Ostrich, Wolf, Fox, Wildcats, Leopard, Alligators, Crocodile and a few more.
To sum up, Sajjangarh Palace is among top tourist attractions in Udaipur.

How to reach - The palace is 4 kms away from the entry gate. One can choose to either walk, or take his/her own vehicle, or take a Govt. owned vehicle that charges around 90 rs per person

Wildlife Sanctuary Tickets : Rs 35 per person
Golf Car Ride price: Rs 50 per Person

On a golf cart it should take just about 90 minutes and the driver does a sufficiently long stop at each enclosure, if you are on your foot then it will easily take 3-4 hours with some breaks. The great thing is that for those doing it on feet they have good number of benches and water points.
They also have a cafeteria and children park which adds to the whole package.

Zoological Park Udaipur,Sajjangarh Biological Park is a zoological garden located in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India.One of the major attractions in the City of Lakes, Udaipur is the Sajjangarh Biological Park, which is a zoological garden. It is located in the foothills of the Monsoon Palace (Sajjangarh Palace) and is about 4 km from the city center and 6 km from the city railway station.

The park was inaugurated on 12 April 2015 by Prakash Javdekar, Minister of Environment and Forests, Gulab Chand Kataria, MLA Phoolchand Meena, MP Arjun Lal Meena and Minister Rajkumar Rinva. Sprawling in an area of 36 hectares, it is a home to a massive variety of wildlife.

1The main objective of the park is to make people aware of the flora and fauna of the region and otherwise. To create sympathy towards the wild animals, which are ruthlessly killed for benefits and other reasons.

The animals in the park are kept in enclosures and visitors and spot these while on their visit to the park. Further, for taking care of the animals inside the park various measures have been taken and deployed to maintain the health of the fauna present in the Sajjangarh Biological park.There is a Zoo Hospital for taking care of the ill animals. The Biological park at Udaipur prohibits the usage of plastic covers/bags inside the zoo. There is a Nutrition Center at the zoo which serves to the feed requirements of wild animals of the zoo. There is a full-time experienced veterinarian and a trained compounder to take of the animals. Also, CCTV cameras are installed in the zoo for 24 hours surveillance.

So few days ago I was just thinking that I should visit Sajjan garh fort which is called by Monsoon Palace also. And Finally I decided and started my journey with my brothers to Sajjan Garh Fort, Udaipur.

IMPORTANT --
Nathdwara to Udaipur Distance - 46km
Udaipur to Sajjan Garh Fort Distance - 11km
Opening Closing Time - Daily: 8 am to 6 pm

CHARGES - We paid 360Rs for total 5 persons (Including Parking charges)

BEST TIME TO VISIT - MONSOON

If you are planning to visit Udaipur in Monsoon then you should visit Sajjan Garh Fort (Monsoon Palace). Believe me you will not regret. FULL PAISA VASOOL.

उदयपुर के बायोलॉजीकल पार्क आने वाले पर्यटकों को आज से एक नई सौगात मिली है। यहां आने वाले पर्यटक अब यहां सफेद बाघ 'रामा' का भी दीदार कर सकेंगे। बॉयोलॉजीकल पार्क में लाये गये रामा को आज डिस्प्ले एरिया में छोडा गया, जिसके बाद यहां मौजूद पर्यटक इसे देखकर गदगद हो उठे। सफेद बाघ को देखने के लिये बड़ी तादाद में पर्यटक भी बॉयोलॉजीकल पार्क पहुंचे।
