Danielle and I needed to go to Sakaiminato to catch the DBS Ferry From Japan to Russia (via Korea), but we decided to add an extra night in Sakaiminato - and I'm so glad we did! We explored the city, including the Sakaiminato Fish Market, Iroha Sushi, and all the shops selling Shigeru Mizuki's GeGeGe no Kitaro souvenirs.

Sakaiminato fish market is one of the famous fish market in japan,
by bike from my apartment in yonago city is 20 km, so total length is 40 km round, its light raining with 7 degree celsius and so windy...one of my experience in japan. we bought sea crabs from sakaiminato... :)

Japan's Most Terrifying Bridge: Eshima Ohashi ★ ONLY in JAPAN #33
It's been nicknamed the ROLLER COASTER BRIDGE because of it's super steep slope and appearance of being a bridge to the sky.
That's the Eshima Ohashi Bridge straddling Shimane and Tottori prefecture in Japan.
Facts about the Eshima Ohashi:
★ 1,446 meters long
★ 250 meters of continupus concrete in the center (the third longest Ramen bridge in the world!)
★ 6.1% grade slope on the Shimane Prefecture side
★ 5.1% grade on the Tottori side
★ The bridge needed to be high in the center to allow large shops to pass under.
☆ From the Shimane side, you can get the optical illusion view at the end of the street by the sea.
☆ If you have a good telephoto lens, go even further to the other side of the sea for a better shot. (Map below)
The bridge has a good pedestrian footpath on both sides of the road.
Bicycles are not allowed on the footpath so stay on the main road with the car, to the left side.
There is an observation point on the top that offers sweeping views all the way to Daisen (mountain).
The closest major access point is Yonago Station and airport on the Sea of Japan. From there, take a train to Sakaiminato and rent a bicycle or grab a taxi.
Sakaiminato is also famous for Japanese anime and the main street is like a museum of monsters!
The bridge is a 20 minute ride from Sakai Minato.

For thousands of years roads have provided a means for safer and more efficient movement of goods and people, but as you will see in a moment this is not always the
case. While some of the roads on our list are heavily traveled thoroughfares others are remote, winding, and narrow. So, today in this video we brings you the top
most amazing roads in the world. if you don’t get frightened easily, fasten your seatbelt and take a virtual ride.
Number one Eshima Ohashi Bridge
The Eshima Ohashi bridge, which spans Lake Nakaumi to connect the Japanese cities of Matsue and Sakaiminato, was constructed with a high span in order to allow the
passage of boat traffic from the latter city, a major fishing port. Although the mile-long bridge looks something like the upward slope of a roller coaster in the
picture, that appearance is the artifact of telephoto lens usage (which typically flattens perspective in long-distance shots). In fact, the bridge has a gradient of
6.1% on one side and 5.1% on the other, presenting motorists with a gradual climb that doesn’t look quite so scary in standard distance shots. It is the largest
rigid-frame bridge in Japan and the third largest in the world. Images of the bridges have widely circulated on the internet.
Number two Karnali Highway, Nepal
The Karnali Highway lies in the Karnali Region, north-west of Kathmandu. The highway is the link between the towns of Surkhet and Jumla, and goes on as a dirt road
from Nagma to Talcha. The Karnali Region is the most remote and least developed zone in Nepal. The Karnali Highway is already considered to be one of the most
amazing roads in the world by many; examples are here, here, here and here. For us it was the most amazing road. A surface so bad as the
Karnali Highway is unthinkable. Think narrow stretches, rocks, landslides, potholes, flooded parts, huge drops, steep cliffs, a lot of dust and bumpiness. The police
have driving at night . Furthermore, it is claimed in multiple articles that at least 50 people each
year on this road.
Number three Guoliang Tunnel Road, China
Guoliang Tunnel is one of the most famous tunnels in the world. It’s 1.2 kilometres long, 5 metres tall and 4 metres wide, located high in the Taihang Mountains of
the Henan Province, China. It’s one of the famous Chinese tunnel roads. Road requires monk-like focus to drive. Even one mistake, locals say, means big trouble in
little China. The tunnel, carved along the side of and through a mountain, opened to traffic on May 1, 1977, it's quite a tourist attraction, giving the village a
little too much unwanted attention, but some very welcome revenue. It took five years to build it. 4,000 hammers, 12 tons of steel and quite a lot of chisels. Nowadays,
the tunnel is an extremely scenic route and is a key destination on the Chinese tourism map as it became a tourist attraction when China opened its borders to
international tourists. The tunnel is pretty scary with 30 windows of various sizes and shapes and it has been dubbed as the road that does not tolerate any mistakes.
Most accidents in the tunnel are primarily caused by the neglect of the traveller. The tunnel, which sits 15 feet high and 12 feet wide, is only realistically enough
for one-way traffic. Even with a smaller sedan the road spares only a few feet on either side as you pass through the tunnel.
