■TripNotes
Spot1:Ritsurin Park Ritsurin Park stands before the luscious green Mt. Shiun; the garden has six ponds and 13 beautiful artificial hills. The park is designed so that the background changes as you walk. There are many spots with scenic views, such as Hiraiho Hill, which is built to resemble Mt. Fuji. With over 1000 pine trees and flowers such as Japanese Iris, there is something here to look forward to in every season. Enjoy riding a Japanese-style boat in the morning on the foggy Lake Nanko.
Spot2:Shodoshima The island of Shodoshima floats on the Seto Inland Sea. Stroll through the thousands of olive trees in the Olive Park, or enjoy the panorama view of Kankakei Gorge from the ropeway. During the low tide, you can cross the 500 m long Angel Road sandbar, which only appears twice a day and go to a small island. Couples take this route for romantic dates and write their hopes and dreams on E-ma tablets.
Food:Udon Udon noodles and Kagawa prefecture are inseparable from each other! You can enjoy Sanuki Udon, known as noodles with a bit of firmness in many ways and in many different flavors; but if you've never tried Sanuki Udon before, start with the basic Kake Udon. This is the best menu to really enjoy the taste of the soup and long noodles.
