Homma Art Museum Garden - Yamagata - 公益財団法人 本間美術館 - 4K Ultra HD
Walking distance from Yamagata’s amazing Somaro Tea House and its gorgeous Maiko, you will find in the city of Sakata and the Homma Art Museum Garden. Built in 1813 by the fourth head of the Homma clan, the property includes the actual main house, the Seienkaku, as well as the magnificent Kakubu-en or “Dancing Crane garden”.
Turned into a museum in 1947, with a dedicated wing build for that very purpose, the Seienkaku used to host many dignitaries including members of the Sakai and Uesugi clans, lords of the Shōnai and Yonezawa Domains, as well as in 1925 the future Shōwa emperor. Also, it is interesting to note that the second storey had been added in 1908 in advance of a planned visit by the future Taishō emperor.

Japanese Contemporian Hisashi Takada
Hisashi Takada studied under Wataru Huki who is founder the U-Forum Museum. Wataru Huki studied under Kazuo Sakata is an abstract artist. He is the one that first painted abstract painting in Japan.
In the after World War II, Sakata became an assistant for Leger. He founded A.G.O.(avant-garde Okayama) and presided the based on Cubism with unique abstract painting. At that time, his original abstract paintings are completely opposite in the market. As one of the artists galleries with avant-garde, however in the current very hard to get and everyone wants to that whatever it takes.
Takada exhibited group show with his master Huki, Teruko Hiramatsu and Sakata Kazuo, Takada is unknown in the market anyways. As Sakata likewise an anti-authoritarian, anti-commercialism, anti-academicism works are very hard to get in the market.
We cannot wait to see his works for today’s contemporary scene. The colors are just amazing.

Chichi-sugi Japanese Cedar 乳房杉
Chichi-sugi is an 800-year-old-Japanese cedar tree located deep in the forest of the tallest mountain in the Oki Islands, Mt. Daimanji. Perhaps the only one of its kind in all of Japan, this strangely-shaped tree is the shrine of a maternal deity.
乳房杉は隠岐最高峰の大満寺山の霧深い山腹に立つ、推定樹齢800年の奇妙で巨大な杉の木です。
日本でここだけかもしれない、垂れ下がる枝を持つこの木は、神社としても祀られています。

Water Buffalo goes up the mountain (followed by a rabbit) - Geumgang Nature Art Biennale 2010
The 1st water buffalo that I'd made of willow brunches was placed in the lotus pond at the entrance of the Yeonmi mountain in Gongju City, with the help of pretty young Korean girls. The concept of the work is on the revival of the nature. In fact new green leaves grew on the brunches after that day, as this sculpture is in the pond.
The travel of the second bigger buffalo is also on line.
