【4K】Welcome Oita Wonders
｢アジアの玄関口｣である九州の北東部に位置する大分県は、多くの観光資源に恵まれた魅力あふれる地域です。また、世界有数の温泉大国・日本の中でも、随一の源泉数と湧出量を誇る「日本一のおんせん県」としても知られています。
今回、温泉や自然・食・伝統文化等、魅力あふれる大分を紹介するPR動画を制作しました。
動画は「色んなWOWの旅」をテーマに、大分県でしか体験できない自然風景や文化、観光資源等を映像で紹介。見た方々に驚きや感動を与え、来県意欲や関心を持ってもらえるよう、大分県でしか体験できない自然風景や文化、観光資源等を厳選し、インパクトのある動画となっています。
Oita Prefecture is located in Japan’s “gateway to Asia,” northeast Kyushu, and is an attractive region blessed with plentiful tourism resources. Even with Japan as a whole being famous for its hot springs, Oita is known as the No. 1 hot springs prefecture in Japan, with the most spring sources and highest flow volume in the country.
On the day of the event, we will also show the Welcome Oita Wonders promotional video, which introduces the appeal of Oita Prefecture along with beautiful visuals. Based around the theme of “different trips with WOW,” the 4K video shows Oita Prefecture’s unique tourism resources, culture and natural scenery. This impressive video surprises and moves viewers, increasing their interest in coming to Oita Prefecture.
Oita Sakura and Snow Cycling
Kyushu is Japan's westernmost island and third largest island. After landing in Fukuoka, we head to Oita prefecture on the northeastern corner of the island. Oita's scenic mountainous landscape provides a stunning backdrop for the sakura cherry blossoms. Yufuin, one of Kyushu's most famous onsen towns with vibrant coffeshops and boutiques. Further south we ride to Kokonoe Yume suspension bridge, the world's highest.
To our surprise and even though the April weather has been warm enough for the sakura to blossom, the weather on the higher elevation turned cold and we were riding in a winter wonderland.

Japan Vlog - Hot springs in Beppu and ryokan in Yufuin

We took the shinkansen down to Kyushu to visit the small hot spring town Beppu, and then stay at a lovely ryokan in Yufuin.

Beppu:
First we took the Shinkansen (with our JR pass) from Shin-Osaka to Kokura, where we then took the Sonic Express to Beppu station. I think the whole trip took about 4 hours. We used this website to search for the best route:
Nishitetsu Resort Inn Beppu
We stayed at this hotel for 1 night, and we had a pleasant stay. It was quite close to the station and the beach (although it wasn’t beach season yet), and it also had a nice hot spring and good breakfast. The room was a bit small tho :’D
Aqua Garden at Suginoi Hotel
From Beppu station we took a free shuttle bus up to this hotel located on the hill, where you can look out over the city. They have a place called the Aqua Garden where you can wear swimsuits and bath together.
Toyotsune Honten
Right around the corner of our hotel we found this little place with lots of traditional japanese food. In the evening you can choose from different multi-course meals (kaiseki). Apparently they are famous for their tempura don, or tokujo tendon, but we decided to go for a Shiki Set and the Omakase Gozen (I think?? maybe we only had the “Mini Gozen”, I can’t remeber)

Yufuin:
The next day we took a train from Beppu station to Yufuin station, where we stayed at a wonderful ryokan nestled on top of a hill: Yufuin Sanso Waremokou. Ryokan are Japanese style inns found throughout the country, especially in hot spring resorts such as Beppu and Yufuin.
In our room we had two private open-air hot springs (onsen), and one bath inside as well. There was also a big open-air hot spring at the very top of the facility that you could book for private use. Needless to say we absolutely LOVED this place.
Apart from the amazing hot spring baths, dinner was definitely the highlight of our stay. Ryokan dinners usually mirror kaiseki ryori (懐石料理), which is a traditional multi-course Japanese dinner. They have different ingredients depending on the season, and for our stay we chose the Shabu-Shabu, a hotpot dish of thinly sliced meat and vegetables boiled in water.
The next day, around 8 in the morning, we had a wonderful Japanese style breakfast, with multiple dishes with local and seasonal specialties. I'm not a big fan of tofu but I was surprised how delicious it was. I think this is called hiyayakko (冷奴), chilled tofu with toppings.
Then it was time to leave, but we didn’t want to ;_; All of the staff were so friendly and they came out to wave to us when we left. I want to go back again already!

In this video, pop idol Yoko Maejima describes her experience with the Sakura Note ~Imanitsu Nagaru Mirai ( サクラノート ～いまにつながるみらい～) , a game that released back in 2009 exclusively for the NDS .
She describes us her experience with the game. She like the parts where the player plays a dog or cat, the battle scenes etc. The game is a pretty unique experience for her, something very special for the DS library.

【鉄道車窓×Google Earth】JR西日本・JR九州 山陽新幹線・九州新幹線 さくら551号 新大阪→鹿児島中央

2017年8月12日、新大阪駅を10時09分に出発する「山陽新幹線から九州新幹線へ直通する さくら551号 鹿児島中央駅行き」に乗車し、新大阪駅から鹿児島中央駅までの全区間において、進行方向右側の車窓を撮影しました。
停車駅は、新神戸、岡山、福山、広島、新山口、小倉、博多、新鳥栖、久留米、熊本、川内、終点 鹿児島中央です。
新大阪駅から博多駅までの区間は、JR西日本が管轄する山陽新幹線として運転します。博多駅から鹿児島中央駅までの区間は、JR九州が管轄する九州新幹線として運転します。山陽新幹線は、最高時速300kmで運転します。九州新幹線は、最高時速260kmで運転します。
山陽新幹線と九州新幹線とを直通する列車は、JR西日本とJR九州の共通運用であるN700系（8両編成）で運転します。JR西日本の車両とJR九州の車両とでは、自動放送で使われる曲が異なります。JR西日本のN700系7000番台は「いい日旅立ち」、JR九州のN700系8000番台は「向谷実氏が作曲したオリジナルメロディ」となります。
今回乗車した「さくら551号」は、JR九州の車両で運転された為、向谷実氏作曲のオリジナルメロディが自動放送で聞く事が出来ます。
今回の動画は、以下の方法で作成致しました。
①ソニーアクションカムHDR-AS300で撮影したものを「アクションカムムービークリエイター」にて、速度計表示付きで動画を作成。
② ①で撮影したGPSデータをGPXファイルに変換し、Google Earth Proにてツアー動画を作成。
③ ①・②で作成した動画を動画編集ソフト「コーレル ビデオスタジオX10」にて合成動画を作成。

This train is Sakura 551 superexpress bound for Kagoshima-Chuo.
On August 12, 2017, I took the Shin-Osaka station at 10:09 and got on the Sakura 551 Kagoshima-Chuo Station direct line from the Sanyo Shinkansen to the Kyushu Shinkansen and all the segments from Shin-Osaka Station to Kagoshima-Chuo Station I took a picture of the car window on the right side in the direction of travel.

The section from Shin-Osaka station to Hakata station drives as Sanyo Shinkansen, which is under the jurisdiction of JR West Japan. The section from Hakata Station to Kagoshima-Chuo Station will drive as the Kyushu Shinkansen under the jurisdiction of JR Kyushu. The Sanyo Shinkansen drives at a maximum speed of 300 km/h. The Kyushu Shinkansen drives at a maximum speed of 260 km/h.
The train that directly passes between the Sanyo Shinkansen and the Kyushu Shinkansen will operate with the N700 series (8-car train), which is common operation between JR West and JR Kyushu. In JR West vehicles and JR Kyushu vehicles, songs used for automatic broadcasting are different. JR Nishi N700 series 7000 series is good day journey, JR Kyushu N700 series 8000 series is original melody composed by Mr. Minoru Mukaiya.
Since Sakura 551 which I got on this occasion was driven by a car in JR Kyushu, original melody of Mr. Minoru Mukaiya's composition can be heard with automatic broadcasting.
The animation of this time was created by the following method.
① Create a movie with the speedometer display on Action Cam Movie Creator taken with the Sony Action Cam HDR-AS 300.
② Convert GPS data captured in ① to GPX file and create tour videos with Google Earth Pro.
③ Make a composite video on the movie created in ① · ② with the movie editing software Corel Video Studio X 10.

I have traveled to Yufuin over 20 times yet I just cannot help falling in love with this village every time I visit. It is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I have ever been so far. Planning to live there once I become too old.
I visited Yufuin again recently and had a leisurely walk around the town.I hope this video can show you a glimpse of Yufuin's serene beauty.
