As a DJ, SINKICHI, an ex-member of SOFT and AOA, played the underground party scene. DJ Nu-do was a resident at Aoyama Blue,” and is the man who holds the keys to Okinawa. Together, the two created the bass music party budryukyu, through which they created a unit called Churashima Navigator.
Under the influence of dubstep, experimental techno, industrial, jazz and other genres of music, their experimental beats and deep bass sound are mixed together with their local Okinawan traditional music, creating a unique music referred to as New Champloo.
Current members are Sinkichi, Nu-doh, the traditional Ryukyu singer Kanako Horiuchi, Daiho Soga from Cinema Dub Monks and HARIKUYAMAKU, also known as Shima-dub.
They provided remixes for YAKAZA ENSEMBLE meets SYUNOVEN EP,” released on CROSSPOINT, the new album GEN from YAKAZA ENSEMBLE” and the MAHINA APPLE BAND,” hailing from Fukuoka. They also provided an original song to V.A.ASYLUM released on GULUZ.
Released their 1st album from their own label “Budryukyu” in the summer of 2016. Played one of the largest outside music event in Okinawa called “WWW16” hosted by Mongol800 alongside providing the music for the 5th World Youth Uchinanchu Festival promotional video.
They are planning to release the 2nd single in the spring of 2017 and the Bangkok tour has been booked in February.
