Hanuman the Hero
Lady Svaha is cursed by Anjana, her mother, to stand in a single leg stance and to spread her arms. The God PhraIsuan orders the God PhraPai to throw his holy weapon and power into lady Svaha’s mouth to give birth to a monkey called Hanuman destined to be the Prince Phra Ram’s warrior.
On a Tuesday, of the third lunar month, of the Year of the Tiger, lady Svaha gave birth to Hanuman. He is a white monkey with four faces, eight hands, earrings, diamond hair, crystal fang and can yawn stars and moon. Svaha instructs Hanuman to pledge allegiance to the one who sees his earrings, diamond hair and crystal fang because that person is the Prince Phra Ram, the avatar of the God PhraNaray. Hanuman travels in the air and lands in the sacred garden of the Goddess Uma to eat fruits. Uma is angry and curses Hanuman to become powerless until Phra Ram finds him and pats him from head to tail thrice.
Hanuman serves Phra Ram as his warrior and volunteers to navigate to the demon city of Lonka, where Phra Ram’s fiancée, lady Sita, is kept captive. Phra Ram gets Hanuman to give a shawl and ring to Sita. If she doesn’t believe Hanuman, then he should tell her the secreat about how Phra Ram and Sitafell in love at first sight at the Great Bow Lifting Contest. Hanuman meets Sita and rescued her when she was about to hang herself to death. He invites her to sit on his palm to go back to Phra Ram. Sita is afraid of the scandal of her being abducted by a demon and carried off by a monkey. Thus, she tells Hanuman to get PhraRam across the ocean to rescue her. Hanuman follows her order and kills all of the thousand demons Sahaskumara, the demon King Thotsakan’s sons.
Hanuman volunteers under Phra Ram’s wish to steal the box containing Thotsakan’s heart from the Hermit Kobutr and to ask the hermit to entrust him to Thotsakan. The hermit is obliged to do so because of Hanuman’s spell.
Thotsakan is deceived and adopts Hanuman as his son. In the battle, Phra Ram shoots his arrow at Thotsakan and kills him. Later on, Hanuman crashes Thotsakan’s heart. Phra Ram wins the war and entitles Hamuman to be Lord Phraya AnuchitChakkritPipatpongsa and to rule a city called Nopburi.

Khon is a dance drama genre from Thailand it has been performed since the Ayutthaya Kingdom.
It is traditionally performed solely in the royal court by men in masks accompanied by narrators and a traditional piphat ensemble.
Khon is a Thai traditional dance which combines many arts. It is based on the tales of the epic Ramakien. The Ramakien is Thailand's national epic, derived from the Hindu epic Ramayana.
Khon Ramakien originally could be performed by men only. Women performed only as angels and goddesses. Today women perform as monkeys and demons. In the past, Khon was performed only by the royal family with the sons of the king
performing as monkeys and demons.
Thai Khon stresses realistic dance moves especially the monkey, which focuses on beauty and fine monkey-like dancing postures. Khon training is begun at a very young age so that the performer can become flexible enough to do backflips, especially by the monkey character.
