Artifishal Full Film | The Fight to Save Wild Salmon
Artifishal is a film about people, rivers, and the fight for the future of wild fish and the environment that supports them. It explores wild salmon’s slide toward extinction, threats posed by fish hatcheries and fish farms, and our continued loss of faith in nature.
Thanks for watching our film, and for your comments -- our primary goal with the film was to shine a spotlight on these issues, to spark dialogue and encourage changes in the way we think about river and fish conservation and fishery management. The common ground we all seem to share is a love of rivers and an interest in seeing wild fish return in greater abundance. Patagonia has been working to protect wild rivers and wild fish for over 40 years. We were founded by an avid fly fisherman – and we’re proud of all our connections to the fish world, which range from our fly fishing and salmon product lines, to the over $20 million in grants we’ve given to local groups working on these issues in communities around the world.
To that end, whatever your point of view, we hope you visit Patagonia Action Works, to learn more about and support groups working to protect wild rivers and wild fish -
Further, this is the 3rd film we’ve made about these issues. First was Damnation, which highlights the destructive effect of obsolete dams on healthy river ecosystems and habitat; and then, Blue Heart of Europe, which shares the shocking story of a tsunami of dam development in the Balkans region of Eastern Europe, and calls for a stop to the construction of 3,000 new hydropower dams and diversions. We couldn’t agree more that habitat destruction, dam building, mismanaged harvest, and pollution of our waterways are also incredibly important issues – check out these films to get a sense for some of our advocacy across the issues.

It's Inside Job with bells on, and a frequently compelling thesis thanks to Ashcroft's crack team of talking heads -- economists, whistleblowers and Noam Chomsky, all talking with candour and clarity. - Total Film

Is Singapore overcrowded : More open discussion (5/6)
With the governments plans to increase Singapore's population to 6.9 million by 2030 many people are worried that the city-state will become seriously overcrowded. Even current figures of 5.3 million makes Singapore more densely populated than Hong Kong.
With more and more people arriving the pressure on the infrastructure is beginning to take its toll. Skyrocketing housing prices, high cost of living, overcrowded shopping malls, long wait times for taxes and buses and jammed packed MRT trains. The list it seems is endless and as the list grows the more fed up it seems Singaporeans are becoming. But if Singapore is going to develop as a truly global city does it really have a choice? Should we see people as a major resource as we don't have any natural resources? It's a contentious subject that gets people quite hot under the collar. TalkAbout invited a good cross section of the community to air their views on the subject. The panel included a businessmen, an opposition leader, a former Tourism Board executive and a young actor and entertainer.
Watch this heated debate unfold. Will the rapid arrival of immigrants change the fabric of society? Is immigration forcing Singaporeans to emigrate or are they just relocating for better work opportunities? Does the continued arrival of more foreigners make Singaporeans feel like foreigners in their own country? Or are Singaporeans just perpetual grumblers? Watch the panelists spar over the number game. Why indeed 6.9 million?. Why not round it off to 7 million? Or is 6.9 million the maximum number of people Singapore can actually accommodate? After all, Singapore is a land-scarce country with limited resources. So tune in and judge for yourself if Singapore will be able to cope with the new population targets that have been set by the government. It's a debate not to be missed.

S9 E1: That Far Corner - Frank Lloyd Wright in Los Angeles
During his time spent in Southern California in the late 1910s and early 1920s, Frank Lloyd Wright accelerated the search for L.A.'s authentic architecture that was suitable to the city's culture and landscape. Writer/Director Chris Hawthorne, architecture critic for the Los Angeles Times, explores the houses the legendary architect built in Los Angeles. The documentary also delves into the critic's provocative theory that these homes were also a means of artistic catharsis for Wright, who was recovering from a violent tragic episode in his life.

Charge Over You | Psychotronic Movie | HD | Thriller | Full Length Film
Charge Over You - When Sarah meets Mike, everything she thought she knew about the world is turned upside down.
Charge Over You (2010):
Director: Regardt Steenekamp
Writer: Julia Matthews
Stars: Danya Cox, Dominic Deutscher, James E. Lee
Country: Australia
Language: English
Release Date: August 2010 (Australia)
Filming Locations: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
Storyline:
After the death of her mother, Sarah Goodall struggles to make sense of her life, her purpose and her faith. Having spent most of her adolescent years positioning herself to find a cure for her mother's illness, she battles with feelings of guilt and failure that send her spiraling downward. Her intensifying relationship with a mysterious bad boy only seems to add to the confusion. Once an honor student, Sarah begins failing her classes, jeopardizing her scholarship and her future. When an American transfer student arrives on the scene, he takes a vested interest in Sarah, helping her find what she's counted as lost.
Reviews:
Charge Over You is the story of a young woman struggling to find meaning in her life after a chain of devastating personal events.
For a film with such a modest budget, Charge Over You blows most of today's mainstream cinematic rubbish out the window. It's a solid, well told story that is paired up with Hollywood grade cinematography and a strong supporting cast, namely the talented newcomer, James Lee. The plot twists and turns making it original and unpredictable, which is a breath of fresh air.
This is Director, Richard Steenekamp's second feature length film, and there is little doubt in the years to come he will be a household name.
I'm giving Charge Over You an 8/10. Written by ehtan_bourke via IMDb.com
Normally I would've turned this off after the first 20 minutes. But the lead actress, Danya Cox as Sarah does a very capable job portraying a rational but depressed young adult surrounded, and somewhat tormented, by dark forces and recent string of deaths, one of which is her beloved mum.
We first see the villain Dane, effectively played by James Lee, (apparently a demon in human flesh) appear after the death of a young woman during a party. He materializes as the death takes place, assumably, seeking his next victim.
Sarah has just witnessed a friend being rolled out of the party in a body bag...Dane is nearby.
Days later, Sarah is summoned to a nearby women's dorm to partake in a seance. This is sort of predictable given the tension building up around Dane's lingering, predatory, presence and it plays into Sarah's building confusion and depression.
You might think that Dane is just a very weird guy. But not so. He's a demon roaming around looking for an open door which opens wide when Sarah relents amidst the bullying girls and plays with the ouija board.
Very shortly after, Dane appears in her bedroom and when confronted by Sarah he flatly states that the door was open. It takes a couple scenes to realize that the door that was opened was a result of Sarah's one time use of a Ouija board.
This would be funny and kind of dumb except that the director does such a good job of making everything so creepy.
As I'm watching I keep thinking to myself, why is this very strange movie on a faith based channel? This fact draws me in even more. But just a heads up, this is not a movie suitable for younger children, not even remotely.
I had no idea what this movie was about as there weren't any spoilers or other information to help me out, which is why am posting a bit of a spoiler.
But end spoiler here. You'll have to watch this creepy movie to find out.
I wouldn't say that this is a movie about Christianity by any stretch of the imagination. It's loosely based on the name of God. But without sound theology. Nevertheless it's a cool movie.
I'm going to give this movie 8/10, too. Written by theethinethou via IMDb.com

Disclaimer - This video is just a starting point for me, what I felt was the bare minimum (ha) required for me to get this out there so I can move forward with my life, a mix of explanation, justification and opinion. It scratched the surface of several things I could have gone into more detail about, but the purpose of this was to be ..reasonably concise and above all entertaining. In the future, in the right places, I will surely talk much more about everything touched on in this video and more. It’s also likely that something will get misunderstood or misrepresented, perhaps from the way I phrased things or people assuming my thoughts on things that I didn’t specify. Also my story is just the truth of what happened to me and what I thought at certain points of time in my environment, good and bad - of course not my opinions today. So JUST to be clear my opinion on general sexual and gender identities are that everyone is valid and deserves equal rights and the freedom to exist. The only thing I don’t tolerate is intolerance. Cheers to an inevitable bright future, either because people become nice and the old people die or the sun explodes first lmao.

Isolation is the dream-killer, not your attitude | Barbara Sher | TEDxPrague
According to Barbara Sher we have to change our common understanding of why we so often fail to bring our dreams into reality – blaming bad attitude, negative thinking or lack of effort. Heartfelt, funny and surprising stories told by a lady who's been helping other people's dreams for many decades.
----
