【Sato Suisan is very famous seafood company and they are proud of their Salmon products. I would like to introduce you Ishikari Salmon Manju. the steamed bum with Slamon paste in it. Stemed Buns are popular Japanese fast foods in Winter. Generally, buns are filled with Pork, Pizza or Anko(sweet bean paste), but I love Sato Suisan's Salmon Buns!! Larger than normal buns(what you can find in Convenience store), Delicious Salmon paste is in it. If you love Salmon, Please try once and you know what I mean.】
【佐藤水产是一家北海道有名的水产品加工公司,与鲑鱼相关的食品尤为突出。这次想介绍的是「石狩鲑鱼包子」。提到「肉包子」一般都会联想到冬天,且最常见的馅料有猪肉、披萨、豆沙等,做成各种口味的包子。而我喜欢的却是佐藤水产的「鲑鱼包子」。它比便利店的包子要大,而且馅料十足,满满的鲑鱼肉。如果喜欢鲑鱼的话,一定会爱上的!!】
佐藤水産は北海道で有名な海産物を扱う会社で、特に鮭関連の食品が素晴らしいです。今回紹介したいのは「石狩鮭まんじゅう」。いわゆる「肉まん」は冬の定番メニューです。大抵は豚肉、ピザ、あんこのようなものが使われますが、僕のお気に入りは佐藤水産の「鮭まんじゅう」。コンビ二などで売ってるものより大きくて、フレーク状の鮭がたっぷり入ったペーストが饅頭の中に詰まってます。鮭が好きなら、食べたら分かります!!

Japanese food - Uni (sea urchin) day trip to Otaru, Hokkaido, Japan!
Otaru is a small port town on the island of Hokkaido in Japan, that’s known for its abundance of delicious and fresh seafood. So during my trip to Sapporo, I knew it was one day trip we didn’t want to miss.
Sapporo Station - To get to Otaru from Sapporo, you can take the JR train from Sapporo Station. It cost me 640 JPY ($5.73) and the ride took about 45 minutes or so.
Sankaku Market Seafood Market -
Just outside the Otaru train station and to the left hand side as you exit, you’ll find Sankaku Market, a small and very friendly fresh seafood market selling an abundance of Hokkaido seafood delicacies like uni (sea urchin). There are some very famous seafood rice bowl restaurants, but you’ll also find different fish, and fresh King crabs and hairy crabs. I took one walk through the seafood market, but then settled on the first shop - mainly because they owners were so friendly and welcoming.
Kawashima Shop - This the the seafood shop at the market we ate lunch at, and I would highly recommend it. The owners and staff were all very friendly, and the seafood was fresh and incredible.
Hakkaku (sailfin poacher fish) - 1,000 JPY ($8.96) - Along with uni, one of the things I wanted to eat in Otaru was Hakkaku, which is a sailfin poacher fish. It’s look very unique, and it prepared as sashimi. It was delicious.
Uni don (sea urchin bowl) - 4,500 JPY ($40.31) - But the real dish I came all the way to Otaru to eat was a full uni don, sea urchin rice bowl. First a layer of rice went down, then a couple of shiso leaves, then a full bed, and entire box of fresh vibrantly yellow sea urchin (uni). It was outstanding. I’ve had sea urchin many times before, but usually it’s just a couple pieces of sushi, this was an entire bowl full, and it was insanely delicious.
Hairy crab (horsehair crab) - 6,500 JPY ($58.23) - Finally, just because I had never had a hairy or horsehair crab, I decided to get a fresh crab. Horsehair crabs are all about the roe inside, and it’s complex and flavorful.
This was an amazing day of Japanese food in Otaru, the highlight for me was the seafood market, and it’s well worth a visit when you are in Hokkaido.

Ayu Fish restaurant & Cave Sake Factory
I would like to introduce some traditional Japanese food in my hometown.
Ayu fish(Sweetfish)
Seasonal eating place, Yazawa Ayu Yana Restaurant.Ayu sweetfish is a typical early summer dish in Japan. Sweetfish fresh from the river are broiled slowly over a charcoal fire, which makes the surface crisp and softens the texture inside. You can fully enjoy sweetfish, which can live only in clean water, with this simple recipe.
What is Ayu Yana ?
Fresh Ayu(sweetfish) are caught with a traditional fishing method consisting of a bamboo fence built at an angle in a river and are served only when they are in season.
The Japanese go there especially in early summer when young sweetfish with soft bones and meat are in season.
Shimazaki Sake Brewing Company's cave sake storehouse
Shikazaki Sake Brewery, the producer of the sake, Azuma RIkishi, is a sake brewery with over 160 years of history and tradition.
They produce many kinds of sake. The most remarkable of these is aged inside of a cave.
It's matured for a period from approximately 6 months to 3 years for short term or even as long as several decades.
Aging process for sake.
Generally speaking , newly brewed sake carries a fresh aroma and flavour and is enjoyed a Draft sake. However it tends to taste strongly of alcohol and can be harsh. It's aging that removes the harshness and produces a more mellow taste.
Cave Sake Brewery
This cave is the former site of an underground tank manufacturing plant created a the end of The Secound World War. Because it was cnstructed to be a factory, the entire length totals approximately 600m, and is dug as an intersection of 8 caves in all.
The interior of the cave allows sake to be entirely protedted from sunlight. Also, the temperature averages 10 degree all year round, and only fluctuates within a range of 5 degrees. This environment is naturally more tha appropriate to fit for the needs of aging sake.

This incredibly easy Salmon and Potato soup is so simple to make and tastes so comforting and delicious. It's perfect for the end of winter when we are still eating hearty meals but are craving some fresh flavors.

Do consider when I say worst knife it absolutely does not mean that its bad, miyabi knives are still way harder knives then the competition.
He also shows just how extremely sharp the Miyabi knives are by cutting though sponges, paper and last but not least tomato's.
Miyabi knives are basically the sharpest knives in the world, but at some point you will need to re-sharpen the knives again after using them allot, when that time comes please take a look at this video which shows you how to sharpen knives:
