Logging In Idaho - U.S.A. (1926)
American logging in Idaho.
Panning shot of large number of large logs piled up and floating in water. Logs are pushed from the piles into the river. They float downstream. A group of male workers move logs into place with special tools. Men stand knee deep in the river. One worker stands on a log and moves two others whilst they are all moving along the river.
Logs come down a wooden chute filled with water into the river. Rumour has it that boisterous spirits have been known to travel down on the lots... but not the same man twice! Logs are propelled down the chute, they fly off and into the water at the bottom. Various shots of logs floating in the river.

Take a journey to Shepp Ranch, Idaho, U.S.A.
I took a hike along the Salmon River, in the Gospel Hump Wilderness, and Clearwater mountains to visit my friends at Shepp Ranch. Here is a vignette of the journey. It included high country hiking and camping, river camps, all kinds of jet boat rides, with Wes at Shepp (that is Wes and me going down through Chittam rapids at 45,000 cfs), a wild bronco rapid ride with Buck at Mackay Bar Outfiitters (up and down Chittam a couple times), an entire day with Heinze at Whitewater Expeditions, going from Shepp, to Corn Creek through nearly the entirety of the wilderness stretch on the Salmon River. Two flights in my friend Dave Looney's 1995 Maule, before the hike to scout trail, and drop off beer. Dave also came in for a day with the family while we were out there. And over 30 miles of hiking in and out from Shepp, and up Crooked Creek from the ranch. All of it revolved around the Salmon River. North Americas largest un-damed wild river, carving through some of the most rugged, and remote backcountry in the U.S.A.

Tamarack Resort Idaho
We decided to take a drive which was about 15 miles away from where we are staying to check out this Resort. Not much going on this time of year. I guess the best time to be there was on the weekend we thought we'd go on the weekday when it wouldn't be too crowded. Boy it definitely wasn't too crowded. Wanted to show you the road getting there we will show you some of the campsites in the next video. That we ran across. If you're into bicycling or skiing this would be an awesome place to visit.
