A video of a night out in Chaweng, Koh Samui. On this night I ate some Thai food, then checked out a couple of live music bars before having a beer opposite the 'Alfie beer bar' which had probably the best lineup out of all the Green Mango beer bars I saw on this trip...

Chaweng is the main nightlife area of Koh Samui so that was where I based myself.
On this visit it was around the time of the 'half moon party' so that accounts for some of the bars not being as busy as normal (so I was told).
Cheap beer? The bars of Koh Samui have relatively cheap beer with many bars having Chang at around 79-100 baht all night and Legends bar was the cheapest at just 49 baht all night long!

Green Mango Nightclub - Chaweng - Koh Samui - Thailand
The Green Mango Nightclub is in Chaweng on Koh Samui - Thailand.
The Green Mango is also known as the horse shoe shaped Soi that has got lots of bars in it.
There are small little bars where you can sit and relax and listen to some music, there is a Go Go Bar where you can sit in an air conditioned room and see ladies of the night dance in front of you but the main place is the The Green Mango Nightclub.
There is a big bar on the right as you enter into Soi Green Mango. Henry Africa's Bar is where you can play pool and have some nice drinks. It starts earlier than the Green mango, so patrons normally go here first and then make the short walk up the Soi.
The Green Mango Bar Area is a big place at the back of the Soi. It kicks off around 10pm but most people get there around 12pm.
It goes until the wee hours of the morning and plays all music that you would expect at a nightclub.
It is one of the biggest nightclubs on Koh Samui and is pretty much full of dancers and party goers.
It is surprising the amount of people that are out this late but most people sleep in all morning and surface around lunchtime, then have lunch and relax on Chaweng Beach. Then after dinner, they slowly get into party mode and do it all again.
If you are into this type of music and scene then it worth a visit. If not at least visit Soi Green Mango for a few drinks

Koh Samui Top 5 Things To Do
Koh Samui is Thailand’s second largest island and has an area of nearly 230 square kilometers. The easiest way to get here is to fly in, in under an hour from the capital. Or fly to Surat Thani and take a ferry in.
5. Koh Samui’s to-die-for beaches. Chaweng is the most popular beach on the island. It’s 6kms of soft white sand and along the way there is countless bars, restaurants and good shopping. If you like your beaches more private then you should head to Chaweng Cove – a sneaky spot where you can basically swim and sun alone. And a shout out to Lamai Beach for good mix of active and serene.
4. View Point Options on Samui because the island has many hills, its full of incredible places to see the view.
The view Point at Hin Ta Hin Yai is a must see. This is a very popular photo spot and its not just cause the beach is incredibly scenic. The famous rocks here look remarkably like male and female ‘organs’ shall we say. Then for a cheeky 10 baht you can climb to the very top and get a 360 degree view of the whole area and finally the Jungle Club.
3. Spa Options.
Six Senses Samui – each treatment room is set in luxury jungle huts overlooking the ocean and something you HAVE to try if you come here is the Amazing Senses 4 Hands. I swear you will be literally zinging from head to toe.
Tamarind Springs – here the feeling is about being at one with nature. The massage rooms are outdoors and all their staff studies yoga and meditation daily so their energies can be rejuvenating to the clients. Quick tip – don’t miss out on the organic breakfast and post massage juices! But the highlight HAS to be the natural pools and saunas built inside a huge rock.
2. Experiencing Local and International Dishes.
A must do for those who like seafood is the Bophut Fisherman Village. This happens every Friday, and the main streets fill up with food and cute craft vendors. This is a spot for families and there is live music too, but if street delights are your kind of thing then head here with an empty stomach and don’t miss the freshly barbequed items!
For fine dining, my personal pick is Zazen Restaurant at the resort of the same name also in Bophut. If you are in the mood for romance – come here! The restaurant is decked out in Moroccan finery, but serves Mediterranean and Thai infused cuisine.

Chaweng Beach Koh Samui
A Thailand travel vlog as I fly to Koh Samui, one of the islands in the Gulf of Thailand. Getting to Koh Samui was easy, I simply flew in directly to the island from Phuket, not the cheapest option by by far the quickest. After I find my lift at Koh Samui Airport and drop off my bags I head out to Chaweng Beach which is the closest beach to where I am staying in the hills of Koh Sumai, and then to the Jungle Club for more amazing views out over the beach as I settle into Thailand Island life.
