My Story:
After 49 years of doing the hamster-wheel in California, I finally left it all
and decided to see what Southeast Asia had to offer. I moved to the Philippines
for 6 years, experienced some of the best times of my entire life!
Now, I am exploring again and living in Vietnam. Join me as I venture out to see
more of Vietnam and the surrounding areas. I will share with you my thoughts on
what I see and how I handle the various challenges of living as a full-time expat
in Southeast Asia. For more photos and non-Youtube videos, join or follow my
Facebook page.

Veneration of Saint Antonio de Padua to commemorate his works for the Lord.
On Dec 13, 2017, Me and my mother visited St. Anthony de Padua parish church in Sibulan, Negros Oriental, Philippines. About an hour ride from our home in Dumaguete City. Predominantly a Roman Catholic area, the faithful visits this place every 13th of the month to commemorate his feast day on June 13.
Saint Anthony of Padua (Portuguese: St. António de Lisboa), born Fernando Martins de Bulhões (1195 – 13 June 1231),[1] also known as Anthony of Lisbon, was a PortugueseCatholic priest and friar of the Franciscan Order. He was born and raised by a wealthy family in Lisbon, Portugal, and died in Padua, Italy. Noted by his contemporaries for his powerful preaching, expert knowledge of scripture, and undying love and devotion to the poor and the sick, he was one of the most quickly canonized saints in church history. He was proclaimed a Doctor of the Church on 16 January 1946. He is also the patron saint of lost things. Source: Wikipedia.

Julius' Magatas - Sibulan Tour
Julius starts in the driveway of our house and turns onto Magatas Road for a mini-tour of Sibulan, Negroes Oriental. Down Magatas, about 9 tenths of a kilometer to turn onto Divina Gracias Street out to the National Highway. In Sibulan proper now, he turns left toward Poblacion plaza and the Catherdral.
He turns down the street along the far side of the market, tosses in a serendipitous 360 degree turn and continues down to the municipal wharf.
Past the wharf and the terminal for the pumpboat to Liloaan, Cebu. Up the other side of the market, past the Sibulan HS gate, back onto the National Highway, Julius ends the video as he turn back onto Divina Gracias.

Procesión de San Antonio de Padua de Calape, Daanbantayan
Late in the afternoon, the miraculous image of the town patron, Saint Anthony of Padua, is taken out throughout the town in a solemn procession escorted by devotees. Firecrackers and fireworks of all sorts are lit as the procession passes by. The number of people from the locality, from all over Cebu and its neighbouring islands and from abroad joining the procession and the families in their homes who reverently show their respect are unambiguous manifestations of their love for the saint.
