Day in the Life of a Japanese Car Repair Worker in Toyota
Living in Japan and working in a traditional Japanese office environment. This is a Toyota day in the life of a Japanese Auto Repair Shop worker, 30 year old, Erina. This is also a Japanese office tour inside of a Japanese auto repair shop in Toyota. We start this very typical day in her Japanese home, commute via Toyota car to her Toyota car repair shop. This is a day in the life of Erina and we get to see her with co-workers and Japanese mechanics in how they work in Japan. This is a peak into Japanese work culture as well as the work culture in Japan. We see her typical working hours in Japan and how it is working in Japan as a female in her position also known as a Japanese office lady, Japanese OL or Japanese salary woman. Her day in the life in Japan may be a bit different than some Japanese salarymen, but her experiences in the office and auto repair shop is quite common for Japanese employees in her position. The Japanese auto repair shop is also pretty common in terms of work-life. If anythings, the car repair shop is a very traditional office in Japan with Rajio Taiso, cleaning and work ethic. So all in all, this is an example of Japan life as well as Japan countryside life if you were to work in a traditional Japanese company. You should always be aware of Japanese culture when working in a Japanese office.

Where's Vash: Sanage Onsen Bicycle Adventure, Part 2
And there it is...a sign! Less than five minutes before taking this video, I was on a winding road where people were literally planting rice. Then I make a right, and I'm on a main road, and the Sanage Onsen becomes more than just a self invented myth that was somehow reproduced on my map. Ain't Japan awesome!

Between Google Maps, a map of Toyota City in English, a far more complete map of Toyota City in Japanese, and a bicycling map of Toyota City I was given at a bike shop when I was lost before, as well as my own developing ability to orient my direction from the sun, I was eventually able to find the Sanage Onsen! This i...s part 1, when the outcome wasn't so certain...

Sanage Hotspring Pix only
Pictures from our outing to Sanage Hotspring in Toyota City on 12-17-2011. The song is by Palito Ortega. Digan lo que digan (Whatever they may say). This song reminds me of the Beatle's Twist and Shout.
The creek in the pictures is not the hotspring. You bathe inside a building.

Mount Sanage is very popular mountain in Aichi Pref.
Elevation is 629m.
Sanage means Throw Monkey.
There is also a hot spring nearby and it is highly recommended!

Tokyo, Japan 2018
After spending time in Kyoto, my dad, sister and I took the bullet train over to Tokyo for a few days! It was not enough time, as it is such a large city but we loved what we got to see! We also visited 2 different Pokémon Centers, which we were very excited about. Tokyo is such a unique place and I highly recommend that people visit. Hopefully we can go back to finish our exploring one day!
Much love xxx

Day in the Life of a Japanese Manga Creator
Mangaka day in the life in Japan also known as a Manga artist and manga creator. This documentary style video show the life of Mangaka from morning until the evening at the mangaka workplace, home and general mangaka working schedule. Working in Japan and Tokyo life is unique in itself, but even more unique for a Manga artist creating manga in Tokyo Japan. Mangaka illustrate manga commonly known as comic book. Maybe in Western societies, Mangaka are referred to as cartoonist or comic book illustrators. Manga creators in Japan with rensai status work with publishers to produce weekly manga. This Manga artist day in the life follows Reiji Miyajima 宮島礼吏 , who lives in Tokyo Japan and creates the manga Kanajo okarishimasu 彼女お借りします which translates to Rent a Girlfriend. Mangaka working in Japan often work in their home and set aside office space for them and their assistants. In fact, we also get a look into Mangaka Assistant life as well as how manga is created. Many Manga Creators work on serial comic books with weekly deadlines, meaning that each day of the work week in Japan is different as the manga creation process has to produce 1 new manga per week. Manga artist must not only know how to draw and create manga, but they also must know how to manage manga assistants. We even touch on Mangaka salary for first time manga creators. An inside look on how manga and comic books are made in Japan.

How Much I PAY at a Japanese Hospital on Japan's Healthcare System
The Japanese Healthcare system is considered Universal since it’s suppose to covers everyone in Japan. So anyone living in Japan including myself even as a foreigner have to pay into the system. Yes, there are exceptions to this and the Healthcare System in Japan is not perfect, don’t think it is, but I wanted to highlight the general experience for most Japanese people as well as my experience as a foreigner living in Japan on the Japan Healthcare system.
So, Japanese Insurance covers 70-90% of all necessary doctor visits. And one of the things I appreciate about the Japanese healthcare system is that you don’t need to pay the full amount of the medical bill up front and then later fill out paperwork to a claim a refund from your healthcare provider. Perfect for someone like me who absolutely hates paperwork.
All you need to do is show your healthcare card at the hospital or clinic when you arrive. They will automatically calculate the amount you need to pay and you are good to go! And to be honest, it’s surprisingly cheap...which I’ll get into the actual costs soon. Again, people generally pay about 30% of the total hospital bill, but it can be reduced down to 10% for other reasons.
So, Your monthly Healthcare insurance fee varies depending on your age, income, type of work and area you live. And there are 3 main types of healthcare systems in Japan 1. For Company employees, 2. For civil servants, teacher and public works and 3rd is a National insurance for everyone else.
They are all pretty similar in coverage, but if you’re an employee of a company, the company is required to pay half of your monthly insurance fee. Which is a great for most Japanese.
Another perk of being on the company health care system is that they commonly offer FREE Annual Health Check-ups. It’s funny though because health examines becomes a yearly talking point for many Japanese employees as many companies schedule it the same time every year. Employees ask each other if they’ve taken it yet. Or talk about having to drink barium for the test, which gives a white stool. Or some complain that they don’t have time to take it since they are so busy with work. Regardless, you know it’s coming since HR will spam employees to schedule their health exam.
The basic annual health examination is called Kenko Shindan. Again, it’s free for company employees. The exam check things like your eye sight, hearing, blood, Chest X-ray, urinalysis, etc.
There’s even more of comprehensive health examination and it’s called Ningen Dock. These additional tests including things like Respiratory, Stool Tests, Abdominal ultrasound, more detailed bloodwork, etc. What’s nice is that when your over 35 years old the company insurance covers this for FREE as well.

Dororo - Final Boss + Secret Ending
I still have so much respect for this game, it's one of the best I ever played.
Also called Blood Will Tell it's based on a Japanese Manga.
This here is the last boss, after beating him you finish the game 100% cause he's considered a side quest. To beat him you must complete at least a 48 combo, I didn't use the sowrd that allows you to hit so many hits by only pressing fewer buttons so i'm very satsfied ^^

Japan Trip: The first shrine visit in the year with my host family
This is the third video of my Japan trip. After 10 months, I back to Japan again. I travel alone in Japan for 12 days. This is a short video I shot during my Hatsumōde (初詣, which mean the first shrine visit of Japanese New Year) with my host family.
It is a Japanese New Year tradition. We went to the Sanage shrine (猿投神社) for our Hatsumōde. There was a lot of people there since it was one of the major shrines in Toyota city. We went there and worship at Haiden first. After that, we also draw Omikuji (御神籤) and I got a 大吉 which means the EXCELLENT LUCK!! After worship, we also got Omamori (御守り) which can provide good luck and protection for the whole year. Japanese will also return the old Omamori to the shrine so they can burn it. Before we return, we went to Yatai (屋台) which is my favourite place for FOOD!! hahahahaha. At the end of video, it was our dinner, SUKIYAKI (すき焼き).
For this video, I try doing something new, like including ambience in my video which I never did in my previous blog. I also using quite a lot of transition between the footage and colour grading my footage to a more contrast and saturate effect.
Hope you guys enjoy! :D
