There were clashes of opinion between villagers over the National Highway No. 3 plan being constructed from Sinyeon-ri Saengcho-myeon Sancheong-gun Gyeongsangnam-do to Hwasan-ri Sudong-myeon Hamyang-gun Gyeongsangnam-do, Korea and the most suitable route had to be selected by comparing a route that passes in front of village to one that detours around the back of it. The most suitable plan for local residents (the route passing behind the village) was chosen through an explanatory meeting.

Madness in Uiryeong

The River here in Uiryeong is normally very calm and low. After 12 hours of non-stop rain though, the river has almost reached bursting point.
