Bucuti Beach Resort on Arubas Eagle Beach is a quiet destination for honeymooners, single adults and couples. Just three miles north of downtown Oranjestad, the resort maintains a secluded feel but is still close to shopping, dining and natural attractions such as the Bulbali Bird Sanctuary.
Spacious guest rooms are done in a contemporary style with dark wood furniture and cream-colored linens with slate and rust accents. All overlook either the gardens or the Caribbean Sea. Set right on the oceanfront, the more exclusive Tara Beach Suites are one-bedroom suites located in an adults-only wing. All guestrooms and suites feature Divine Dreams pillow-top mattresses made exclusively for the resort.
The Pirates Nest restaurant, built as a replica of a Dutch galleon ship, provides an American breakfast buffet, sandwiches and entrees at lunch, and steaks and fresh seafood for dinner. Honeymooners can dine by torchlight on a more secluded corner of the beach. The Sand Bar offers a place to unwind over drinks while listening to live music.
The resort has its own quiet stretch of beach where waiters will deliver refreshments or lunch to your lounge chair, and a new infinity pool on the resort property. The Intermezzo Spa has developed a signature menu of treatments including the Coffee Body Scrub, the Fango wrap and the Aromatherapy massage. Nearby Jeep safari tours, bus tours, snorkeling excursions, deep-sea fishing and horseback riding can be arranged by the hotel.

A Salty Passion: Hi! We are Ryan (RumShopRyan) and Crystal (Castaway Crystal), we document, photograph, and film the best the Caribbean has to offer. Whether it’s stunning beaches, relaxing hotels, friendly restaurants, or soggy beach bars…we want to share it and inspire others to explore the islands.
MEET US!
Who Is RumShopRyan:
Howdy! I’m Ryan and I hail from the land-locked, can’t get any further from the ocean, state of Kansas. I moved to laid back southwest Florida in 2001. I didn’t know a single person and didn’t have a job. Risky I know, but the ocean was calling and I had to answer.
I’m a huge fan of Kansas City sports, so you’ll probably see a lot of Jayhawks, Chiefs and Royals attire in my photos. Kansas City is a great town and I’m glad I’m from there, but the coastal life was calling. It’s kind of like Kenny Chesney’s “island boy” song. Check out the lyrics and you’ll see what I mean.
I write because I’m passionate about the Caribbean and the island lifestyle, and it’s my way to share it with you. If it has anything to do with the Caribbean, rum drinks, beach style music, or Caribbean culture, you’ll be able to find it on this site.
When in the Caribbean you’ll find a camera around my neck and note pad in my pocket. This is how I document the experiences in unique and interesting ways and bring it back to you, the Castaways.
Who is Castaway Crystal:
I was raised in Southwest Florida so it’s no surprise that I have a love for beaches, water and nature. As a child, most weekends were spent fishing in the warm gulf waters on the family boat. As an adult, most weekends are spent soaking up the sun on Ft. Myers Beach. Even though I have always loved the coastal life, I don’t think I fully appreciated it until I moved to Nashville, TN. I’m all about experiencing new things, and as a Licensed Massage Therapist I thought it would be amazing to massage some of Nashville’s biggest stars (a girl can dream right?). But I missed the sun and sand too much—and let’s not forget the rum runners! After a year I couldn’t take it anymore, this sun bunny moved back to her coast of somewhere beautiful.
I’ve always been passionate about photography and writing but my passions never really had a purpose until I met Ryan. I couldn’t be happier being Ryan’s first mate and sharing my photos and stories with you. May they inspire you to go after your tropical dreams and wishes. Make a plan…Set a date…Just go!
???????? 「Aruba, Caribbean」Eagle Beach
Caribbean with baby
Eagle Beach in Aruba is one of the most breathtaking beaches on the island. Boasting the widest beach in Aruba and famous for its pristine and soft white sands, Eagle Beach offers a clear, sparkling Caribbean, ample parking, shaded picnic areas, some huts, and a variety of motorized water sports. Eagle beach won the 2017 TripAdvisor Traveler Award for 3rd Best Beach in the World, and has won many other awards throughout the years.
A few months per year Aruba Eagle Beach is dotted with red and white markers to protect turtle nests. The turtles hatch mostly around sunset and at night. Four species of sea turtles nest in Aruba - Leatherback, Loggerhead, Green and Hawksbill. Turtles can have their nest anywhere on the island, however most nests can be found on Eagle Beach in Aruba. Each nest contains some 80 eggs. Watching the hatchlings find their way to the ocean conquering the sand and waves is a unique vacation experience in Aruba.
Several of the Aruba low rise hotels are nearby and just across the road; some provide cabanas and lounges for their guests. Every year during Easter week in Aruba, tents dot the coastline as local families enjoy the tradition of camping out.
Eagle Beach is also home to two of the most photographed and renowned fofoti trees in Aruba, with its trademark silhouette pointing in the direction of the Caribbean. These trees have been starring in various Aruba advertising campaigns as unique and highly recognizable features. The trees are extremely popular to serve as a backdrop for wedding photo sessions and tourist snap shots of this pristine Aruba beach.
During weekends Aruba beach tennis fanatics play their tennis games in the powdery white sands of Eagle Beach. It’s great fun to watch and participate in this popular local sport.

Jolly Pirates Cruise | MooMba Beach, Aruba
So far in our journey through Aruba we found the Elk Horn coral, we visited the Quadirikiri Caves, we swam in the ‘Conchi’ Natural Pool, and in this episode, we will take a booze cruise with the Jolly Pirates.
We will depart from MooMba Beach located between the Holiday Inn and Marriott Resorts.
So just sit right back and you'll see a tale, a tale of a great full trip.
That started from a tropic port aboard an 85 foot ship.
Twenty Five passengers set sail that day, for a 3 hour tour.
Our 3 hour tour will take us to visit two snorkeling sites, explore a WWII shipwreck, and rope swing!
If you visit Aruba I strongly advise to book a tour with Jolly Pirates.
They include snorkeling gear, have a live DJ on board, and mix fresh drinks.
I had an absolute blast and will definitely come back and visit them.
