A nice SE wind 15- 25 kts coming off the ocean across the Sandbar. Smiths Lake nice and clear, sandy bottom. My JP Excite ride 160 L and Loft O2 Freeride 6.6m. Launching from the beach in Sandbar camping ground. A perfect afternoon.
Fun in the air and the water at Smiths Lake, NSW
A weekend camping, fishing, swimming and enjoying the sunshine at Sandbar Caravan Park tucked away in a secluded bush location on the shores of the tranquil Smiths Lake, on the NSW Mid-North Coast.
Smiths Lake, is an intermittently closed youthful saline coastal lagoon. The lake was most recently opened in June due to the high level of water levels. The opening of the entrance to Smiths Lake is an important factor influencing the flooding around the Lake. The entrance has been artificially opened since 1932 but it was still quite a shock to see the water levels so low.

During the visit to Smiths Lake holiday home in north coast nsw. This movie clip is taken at Amaroo beach just 8 minute walk from home near the Frothy Coffee Boat Shed. This area is superb for swimming, boating, kayaking, fishing and ideal for little kids to play on the beach. There is park with play equipment too as well as BBQ facilities.

The sand formation known as 'The Spit' connects Shark Island to the mainland. The feature is not passable during high tides and after extreme weather events when the formation is washed away.
