Into the jungle we went. On horse back, covering rough terrains to find our desired waterfall. Little did we know it would be in the midst of a thunderstorm. Truly, an experience to remember.

Horse riding trek at Muriwai Beach, Auckland, NZ January 10, 2016
Singaporean born, Paris based Anglo-American digital urban street artist Simon Penny takes his digital art to the Muriwai Beach for a real New Zealand riding experience! Recently interviewed about the experience Penny recalls his childhood dream of galloping a horse through the surf on an endless sandy beach.....well this dream did become a reality, but not quite as Penny had imagined it to be - Sunday January 10, 2016 - Photos Courtesy of Antoinette Tuffnell & Horse Riding Treks of Muriwai Beach and Woodhill Forest, Auckland, New Zealand

Enjoy the view of the beautiful Paparoa Mountains and when you are really lucky even the Southern Alpes.
We take the horses into the waves as they always like to have a splash or have a chat with the gold miners who are happy to share their knowledge and show you the sparkling gold in the sand. Don’t miss out on a beautiful West Coast experience.
LOVENZTOURS-Best Bay of islands Tour for the weekend in NZ
BAY OF ISLANDS -2020
LOVENZ - NORTHLAND TOURS
The bay of islands is the untouched jewel of New Zealand. Rich in cultural history and spectacular scenery with an abundance of things to see and do. Welcome to our back yard. Let #LOVENZ introduce you to a unique part of New Zealand where you can engage with the locals and get an authentic taste of our unique kiwi lifestyle. Departing Auckland 7am and returning the following day at approximately 4pm. Some of the key attractions on this tour include:
Paihia: a historical seaside destination known for sailing, kayaking, swimming with the dolphins make this an aquatic playground and ultimate retreat for one night stay on this tour.
Waitangi treaty grounds: Step back in time and discover the birthplace of our nation. An absolute ‘must-do’ for visitors and locals alike, the award-winning Waitangi Treaty Grounds and Museum of Waitangi are unquestionably one of New Zealand’s premier attractions.
Kerikeri Stone store: The Stone Store at Kerikeri in the Bay of Islands is New Zealand’s oldest surviving stone building full of local history and a popular stop for locals and visitors alike. The shop stocks an amazing range of authentic goods reminiscent of those traded in the early 19th century, alongside unique New Zealand merchandise.
Rainbow Falls: Only a short walk from the Rainbow Falls carpark, three viewing platforms gets you up close and personal as water cascades majestically into a popular swimming hole surrounded by ancient native bush. This stop is a popular photo opportunity.
Matauri bay: Matauri Bay's sheltered white sand beaches and crystal clear waters have long made it a favorite for the local Maori people full of indigenous cultural history. From the ridge above the bay, there are panoramic views over the headland and out to the Cavalli Islands. The rocks around Matauri Bay offer bountiful diving and fishing opportunities. Popular for beachfront camping, swimming, snorkeling, water sports, horse trails, or just wandering along the white sand beach taking in the spectacular scenery.
Kawiti glow worm caves: The Kawiti Caves are home to thousands of luminous glow worms, breathtaking rock formations and lush green rainforest. Explore the world-famous milky way, a cavern filled with glow worms as far as the eye can see.
Kawakawa: The main tourist attraction in Kawakawa is the colorful public restroom designed by Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser. First visiting New Zealand in the 1970s for an exhibition of his work, he decided to make our country his second home. In 1998 with the help of the community he transformed the town’s public toilets into a work of art. Now the number one attraction en route to the stunning bay of islands.

Twin Coast Adventure ride in the North Island of New Zealand - courtesy of Globetrotting
The Twin Coast Adventure in the North Island of New Zealand (think Bay of Islands) is glowing with Globetrotting goodness. A horse riding holiday in New Zealand that will make your HEART sing.
As for your mounts, you’ll be riding naturally-trained, home-bred horses that are as brave and honest as the day is long. And for the setting, you’ll skip, trot and canter across pristine beaches on both the east and west coasts. You and your horse will slide down butter-yellow sand dunes, trit-trot through native forests of Kaui and splash through the foaming waves. You’ll sneak up on the herds of wild horses that live in the pine forest, a truly thrilling experience to encounter on a day’s riding.
Ken and Jane are lucky enough to have not one but two properties in this stunning region: their home farm, where you can get to know your horses both in the arena and on trail rides across the farm, and their beachside property at Henderson Bay. This property is right in the middle of the action, putting you just a hop, skip and a jump from some of New Zealand’s most beautiful stretches of coastline.
You won’t want to leave this pocket of untouched beauty where it’s just you, your horse and the beauty of Mother Nature. Needless to say this spectacular ride, the Twin Coast Adventure, is going to make our Globetrotting community extremely happy.

Awesome beach horse riding NZ - Taylor and I tack up and ride at the beach!
Come for a relaxing horse ride at the beach! We have a fun horse ride at the beach and take our horses for a swim while we are there.
We start by tacking up our horses, saddling up and then riding to the beach.
We ride our horses swimming in the stream at the beach.
It's such a pretty beach to horse ride on. Trail Horse riding in New Zealand is so much fun! we love being able to just jump on, ride to the beach and go for a canter. There are tracks through the dunes and the beach is stunning and safe for the horses to swim in.
This is how beach horse riding NZ is.
Thanks for watching,
xo Jade
