Sangiang is an island midway in the Sunda Strait between the Indonesian islands of Sumatra and Java. Administratively it is a part of Banten province of western Java. One current design for the ambitious Sunda Strait Bridge allows for part of the bridge to be built crossing the island. It is uninhabited due to its status as a nature preserve.

Dive Trip : Pulau Sangiang, Selat Sunda, Indonesia
Sangiang is an island midway in the Sunda Strait between the Indonesian islands of Sumatra and Java. Administratively it is a part of Banten province of western Java. It is uninhabited due to its status as a nature preserve. (Source : wikipedia)
There are many varies of fish and corals there. We did 3 dives, each spot contains different attraction one to another.
1st dive : Gunung Gede - Soft Coral
2nd dive : Light House - Many fishes : Angel Fish, Bat Fish, Grouper, Sea Turtle, etc
3rd dive : Batu Mandi - Yellow Tail Fish Schooling, Soft Coral.
The only downside is maybe in term of its visibility, you can not see clearly further than 10m.
Road Trip [Banten, Indonesia 2016]
Road trip around Banten for 2 days. Go along South Banten heading to west. Hindi Ocean is the landscape of our journey.

Perjalanan liburan tahun baru 2017 . Dengan konsep backpaker. Dari stasiun Bekasi dan menuju stasiun duri . Lalu perjalan dilanjutkan menggunakan kereta patas cilegon menuju stasiun Krenceng Banten . Setiba di Stasiun Krenceng kami mencarter angkot disekitar stasiun Krenceng menuju pelabuhan bayangan Green Garden lama anyer Banten . Untuk menuju Pulau Sangiang Banten kami menempuh perjalan sekitar 2 jam perjalanan dengan menggunakan Kapal motor . Di pulau sanghiang terdapat keindahan bawah laut dan spoot tracking menuju bukit bukit . Untuk lebih detail silahkan menyaksikan tayangan ini . DIVING IN SANGIANG ISLAND | SUNDA STRAIT | MAY 2017
Sangiang is an island midway in the Sunda Strait between the Indonesian islands of Sumatra and Java. Administratively it is a part of Banten province of western Java. The colonial Dutch called the island Dwars-in-den-weg ('Thwart-the-Way'; 'In the Way').
This was my second time Diving in Sangiang Island..
The visibility and current was better than the first time in January 2016..
Luckily we met a huge Jellyfish and the flying Crinoid

Tsunami rumours spark panic in Banten, Indonesia
(25 Dec 2018) Hundreds of people and rescue workers fled to higher ground on Tuesday in the Sumur village of Indonesia's Banten province after a rumor spread that another tsunami was coming.
Panicked crowds ran through the streets as some screamed water is coming.
Some people fled to the biggest mosque in the area.
About thirty-minutes later it was revealed that the tsunami warning was a false alarm.
The death toll from the tsunami that hit Indonesian islands without warning Saturday night has passed 420 with more than 1,400 people injured.
Thousands of people were left homeless when the waves smashed homes on coastal areas of western Java and southern Sumatra.
The Sumur subdistrict, a hard-to-reach area near Ujung Kulon National Park, experienced heavy damage.
Disaster agency spokesman Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said the death toll had climbed to 429 on Tuesday and at least 128 were missing.
