Beautiful Places To See wild hilly River Sangu| Bandarban Tour
Nafa-khum (Bengali: নাফাখুম) is a waterfall in Bangladesh on the Sangu River. It is among the largest waterfalls in the country by volume of water falling. The wild hilly river Sangu suddenly falls down here about 25–30 feet.
• The falls are located in a remote area three hours' walking distance from Remakri, Thanchi Upazila, Bandarban District. Remakri is located three hours by boat on the Sangu River from Tindu, which is itself three hours by boat from Thanchi. Nafa-khum is not very popular as a tourist destination.
• The word Khum in Marma language means Waterfall. A special type of flying fish, whose local name is nating, is found at the bottom in a small cave as they swim against the stream but cannot jump over the height of the fall.

BANDARBAN JOURNEY | NILACHOL - NILGIRI - SANGU RIVER | BANGLADESH
BANDARBAN is situated In South Eastern side of Bangladesh. It has been the most beautiful tourist destination of Bangladesh in recent years. The beauty of hills, waterfalls, river, clouds are scattered everywhere of Bandarban in magnanimous mood.
Nilgiri: It is the highest tourist spot of Bangladesh. It is about 3500ft high and situated in Thanchi Upazila. It is just 45km away from Bandarban sadar. Nilgiri is surrounded by beautiful hilly natural views and clouds most of the time.
Nilachol: This is the nearest tourist spot from Bandarban. It is situated at Tiger Para. It is near about 2000 ft above of sea level and 5 K.M away from the Bandarban town. From this we can have a total glimpse of Bandarban town and a vast landscape. In the rainy season everyone will be thrilled when walking through the clouds.
Nil Digonto: Between Nilgiri and Thanchi road there is a tourist place named Nildigonto. The whole spot is covered with the blanket of clouds like Nilgiri.
Sangu River: Sangu River is the complete part of the natural beauty of Bandarban. It follows a northerly circuitous course in the hill tracts up to Bandarban. It enters the district from the east and flows west across the district and finally falls into the Bay of Bengal at the end of a course of 270 km. Its source is in the North Arakan Hills of Myanmar.

The Sangu River is a river in Myanmar and Bangladesh. Its source is in the North Arakan Hills of Myanmar, located at 21°13´N 92°37´E. The Arakan Hills form the boundary between Arakan and the Chittagong Hill Tracts. It follows a northerly circuitous course in the hill tracts and then enters Bangladesh near Remakri, Thanchi Upazila, Bandarban District, from the east. It flows north through Thanchi, Rowangchhari and Bandarban Sadar Upazilas of Bandarban District. It then flows west through Satkania and Banshkhali Upazilas in Chittagong District and flows into the Bay of Bengal near Chittagong, at 22°6´N 91°51´E, or about 16.09 kilometres (10.00 mi) south of the mouth of the Karnafuli River. The length of the river is 270 kilometres (170 mi); 173 kilometres (107 mi) are located within Bangladesh.

To travel towards Remakri, Bandarban from Thanchi, Bandarban, tourists have to use Sangu River. It has really beautiful views in both sides and also there are few dangerous stones on the River. But, it can be crossed easily by the boat man who are really talented and experienced.

Chimbuk hill is the third highest mountain in Bangladesh. Chimbuk is one of the most familiar tourist spot in Bandarban. The road of this area is zigzag. So if you ride in a jeep it will be charming. Matamuhuri is one of the most beautiful rivers of Bangladesh flowing in Bandarban. It originates from Alikadam and flows exceptionally towards north in the Hill Tracts having outstanding natural beauty. Matamuhuri river enters Cox's Bazar district from the east. Lastly it falls into the Bay of Bengal. The length of this river is about 287 km. This beautiful river is very important for transportation and livelihood of the local indigenous tribes.
