Met my cousin for a camping weekend. Picked this park because it was pretty much in between us. Was actually a nice park!! We’d go back!! Rained some but not enough to ruin the trip ????
Fishing with family - Santee Lakes Campground [San Diego]
My family and I spent the weekend at Santee Lakes campgrounds. Nice little cabin right at the shoreline of lake 7. Did lots of fishing and barbecuing. Had the wonderful opportunity to get my parents in laws AND my niece on their first fish ever :) I cut the video short, as I wanted to focus on family time, however filmed some portions of the trip to share with you guys.
*I tried all baits in the tackle box, however the plastic crawfish was the ticket for the bites that day*

This is Santee California
Santee is part of the San Diego metropolitan area and conveniently located between the ocean and the Cuyamaca Mountains. With a growing base of new homes, shopping, restaurants, and businesses, Santee is a perfect location for first time home buyers and families looking to upgrade.
Incorporated officially in 1980, Santee has a long history dating back to the late 1800's.
Bordered by Sycamore Canyon to the north and Cowles Mountain to the west, Santee sits at the intersection of State Route 52 and 67.
The San Diego River tuns right through the middle of Santee from east to west and the city has developed many walking trails, parks, and even a golf course along the river's waterway.
San Diego Christian College, a 4-year college calls Santee home, As do 2 high schools and 9 grade schools.
Craft breweries are also beginning to move into the area. BNS, Growndswell, and Pacific Islander Beer Company are already established, and Karl Strauss is expected to make Santee its headquarters in the future.
The Town Center Community Park lies just north of the San Diego River next to Cuyamaca Street. It includes a 20 acre Sportsplex USA that features baseball, softball, batting cages, and indoor soccer fields. A newer YMCA facility is also in this same area with a large pool, gymnastics, and a state of the art gym. The park also hosts a weekly summer concert series and fireworks during the Fourth of July.
