Ferry from Athens to Santorini travel vlog
Join us for a ferry ride from Athens to Santorini in this travel vlog from Greece. Our day started off with a quick apartment tour of our airbnb in Athens before we had to rush out the door in the wee hours of the morning when it was still dark outside:

After catching two metros (we had to transfer) we arrived at the ferry terminal where we boarded a Blue Star Ferry headed for Santorini. The journey itself was incredible as we passed by many of the most famous Greek Islands along the way to Santorini. We had comfortable places to sit, lounge and sleep and the best views were from the various deck areas of the ferry. We ended up grabbing a hot lunch which was mediocre at best and upon checking into our place in Santorini we went out for a some delicious Greek food that was recommended by our new host.

In this video we take the ferry from Crete to Santorini. The ferry company is Hellenic Seaways. It's about a two hour ferry ride and a gorgeous one at that! Ferries are one of the best and fastest way to get from island to island. They are quite pricey depending on season.
Arriving at Santorini port we bussed to Fira. Fira is the capital of Santorini. Fira derives its name from the pronunciation of Thira (which is why you might hear people say both). On the caldera side of Fira you will get the best views of the island! It's localted on the top of a cliff overviewing the Aegean Sea.
Walking along the main street of Fira you will stumble upon many cafes that overlook the water. Sit yourself down for the most stunning Santorini sunsets!

Santorini Sunset Boat Tour! | Oia, Red and White Beach, Hot Springs!
On our second day in Santorini we went on a Sunset Oia boat tour which included wine and a traditional Greek barbecue! We went around the entire island and swam at the hot springs, red and white beaches and ended the day watching the sunset below the cliffs of Oia!
Our dreams finally came true when we took our 30th birthday year trip to Greece! We spent the majority of time in Santorini and then our last few days in Mykonos! What a spectacular trip and amazing experience!
