리장 고성 뒤로 거대한 산봉우리가 구름에 쌓여있다. 옥룡설산이다. 산기운에 빨려들 듯 설산으로 향했다. 옥룡설산은 3,356m 까지는 차로 그 다음엔 케이블카로 올라갈 수 있다. 체력이 약한 사람들에겐 축복이다. 히말라야 산맥의 한 자락을 이렇게 쉽게 갈 수 있다니 말이다. 올라올 땐 케이블카 신세를 졌지만 산소부족은 어쩔 수 없다. 숨이 차오르는 건 산소부족 때문만은 아닌 것 같다. 눈앞에 멋진 풍경이 펼쳐진다. 사람들은 들뜬 표정으로 자신이 딛고 선 높이를 즐긴다. 세차게 부는 바람이 그 높이에 현실감을 더 해 준다. 반대편으로 산 정상이 보인다. 이어진 계단을 따라 정상을 향해 걸어갔다. 하지만 고산의 부족한 산소는 사람들을 금방 지치게 만든다. 한걸음씩 오를 때 마다 숨이 차지만 새롭게 펼쳐지는 풍경은 관광객들의 발길을 계속 끌어당긴다. 중간에 마련 된 휴식공간에선 기념촬영을 하며 다시 힘을 모으기도 한다. 올라가는 사이 눈에 덮인 만년 빙하가 눈에 들어온다. 눈부시게 깨끗한 눈이 바위산과 빙하위에 뿌려져 있다. 마지막 계단을 딛고 전망대 고지에 올라왔다. 해발 4680m이다. 옥룡설산의 주봉이 눈앞에 다가온다. 아직 사람의 발길이 닫지 않은 곳이라고 한다. 산소부족으로 띵했던 머리가 눈처럼 깨끗해진다.

We traveled from Yongkang to Longyou today, collecting archaeological material from two museums and eating some amazing food along the way. We rewarded ourselves with a night in the best hotel Longyou had to offer. That, and a dinner that was mostly hot peppers and rice wine. It was a good day.

Hou Hai Cun is a small village located in Sanya, Hainan Island in Southern China. I was working on a project back in October 2015 and have the pleasure to meet some people from all around China and living in this small village just because they want to surf. Well… the video is not about them, after the few days of working. Finally got the last day to enjoy and shoot!
This is my very first time flying a drone. It was very lost just trying to figure out what to shoot. I kept it nice and short. Hope you enjoy it!

Sophia and I travelled to the land of The Red Dragon to celebrate our late February 2018 Anniversary. This photography album consists of different styles of photography like portraits, street photography, night photography, and landscape. We had our doubts visiting this country but boy we were wrong. From the rich history and culture to the wonderful food scene, we were almost overwhelmed with what this country had to offer. We travelled to 5 different cities in China: From Beijing, Suzhou, Wuxi, Hangzhou and Shanghai.
