Sapporo Beer Museum - Hokkaido, Japan
What it's like at the Sapporo Beer Museum in Hokkaido, Japan: trying samples of beer, retro Japanese adverts & posters & the genghis khan buffet restaurant.
The Sapporo Beer factory was the first brewery in Hokkaido. You can get there by bus or you can walk from central Sapporo (about half an hour). We walked through the snow (in February!) and did the free tour of the museum. There's also a premium factory tour, where you can see the manufacturing line and watch a film. The best part is the tasting hall where you get free samples on the premium tour, or you can buy a tasting set of Sapporo beers to try (original Kaitakushi beer, classic and Sapporo Black). There's also a buffet restaurant on-site, with all-you-can-eat genghis khan (a Hokkaido specialty) and all-you-can-drink nomihodai plans.

Sapporo Beer Museum & All-You-Can-Eat Crab | Japan 2016 | Episode 4
After a successful day trip to Yoichi and Otaru yesterday, we got a chance to start exploring Sapporo.
We started familiarizing ourselves with the vast underground walkway leading South out from Sapporo Station. The underground is made up of several walkways and areas, such as Sapporo-Ekimae Dori, Pole Town and Aurora Town.
Our first soft serve experience the night we arrived had us craving a repeat and after a bit of research on Google we found Penguin-Dou a cute little shop mixing soft serve and ice cream.
We capped off our day with a visit to the Sapporo Beer Museum to learn about the birth place of beer here in Hokkaido. The beer museum was very well presented, everything was easily accessible to English speakers.
After touring the museum we made a quick pit stop in the tasting room where you can buy tickets from a vending machine to exchange for beer.
There are also several restaurants attached to the museum and we had reservations for the all you can eat crab feast. It was ridiculously amazing!

Registered as one of the Hokkaidō Heritage sites in 2004, the museum is the best beer museum in Japan. The red-brick building was erected originally as a factory of the Sapporo Sugar Company in 1890, and later opened as a museum in 1987. The building also houses the Sapporo Beer Garden in the south wing.

HOKKAIDO VLOG | SAPPORO BEER MUSEUM AND FRIENDS | PART 3
Sapporo beer museum and walking around Sapporo looking at the ice sculptures. And at the end you can watch me make an idiot out of myself by hella drunk talking. I'm so embarrassed I cannot but at the same time it's just like omg Courtney you deserve it lol.
But anyway, the beer museum was cool! I recommend to go there! The museum itself is kind of boring-ish but it's small so you get through it pretty fast. But at the end, there is like a bar thing and you can buy some beer to taste. One of the beers is only available in Hokkaido so that's pretty cool that I could taste that.
I hope you guys liked this video and THUMBS UP if you're enjoying these Hokkaido vlogs!! :) see you in my next one fam!

SAPPORO, HOKKAIDO ON A BUDGET03: Travel Tips to Sapporo Beer Museum & Hokkaido Shrine | Vlogs28
To God Be the Glory
Hi Every 1,
This is my Vlogs28 here in Sapporo. A Whole 1 Month Traveling 10 Prefectures in Japan. Trying to have a budget traveling to Japan.
At first, it is not really easy to budget while you can see some activities that its really good. I Already Visited Tokyo ( some places in tokyo that I visited and cover it on my vlogs. And you might interested to Visit and you just only click this link and your good to go:
However, Am currently traveling and exploring the beauty of Sapporo. And this is what I'm going to show it to you guys and hope that you will love.
These two places that I visited was really amazing. How they manufactured their own beers and they have many diff. Kind of flavours that you can taste it for yourself in a good price. And I really did try myself hehehe
And the other place was Hokkaido Shrine. Which is quite nice. Before you enter to the shrine you will be needed to walk from the station around 1kl away. And you will see some beautiful tree. And its best to travel in sapporo during autumn or spring, even in summer. Coz the flowers will show and show you how beautiful the place.
And So guyz/Gurlz if you love my journey or my backpacking in Japan. Please do

Sapporo Beer Garden ᴴᴰ ● サッポロビール園
► Sapporo Beer Garden complex consist of several restaurants, most dominating is the huge Sapporo Beer Hall, where all-you-can-drink beer and all-you-can-eat lamb BBQ is the order of the day.
The lamb BBQ is a popular local dish named after the great Mongolian ruler Genghis Khan, and it's an absolute must to try if you ever visit Hokkaido. What makes it so special is the sauce you dip the meat in once it's done - a soybase with brown sugar, pepper, garlic and a hint of sake. Sounds strange? Perhaps even looks strange? - It's nothing less than amazing, and as an added bonus, you WILL stink of it for the following days. - Enjoy!
Sapporo Beer Garden King Crab Buffet (Genghiz Khan) Hokkaidoサッポロビール園
Was quite surprised because the first serving did not include King Crab. Only Snow Crab. We have to ask for it. Always request for King Crab because it is much more superior in taste than the smaller Snow Crab.
The other trick is to deshell the King Crab first as it will cook much faster and you can eat more this way.
Please subscribe to get notified as I will be uploading more delicious food videos. Thank-you very much!

Sapporo Japan Travel Guide
A travel guide for Sapporo Japan - the capital of Japan's northern island state of Hokkaido. Highlights include the Clock Tower, Odori Park, Sapporo TV Tower, Tanukijoki Shopping Street, Sapporo Beer Museum, Sapporo Factory Mall, Central Fish Market and Curb Market, Ramen Alley, and Chitose Airport.
Sapporo seems peaceful at street level but there are miles and miles of underground passages and shopping malls that bring out the crowded feel of larger Japanese cities like Tokyo. Come in the summer in enjoy the beer festival, or in the winter to enjoy the massive snow and ice sculptures.

Sapporo Day 2 - Sapporo Beer Museum and Otaru
Low quality travel guide takes place in Sapporo the city of snow and festivals.
1. Clock Tower
The Clock Tower (時計台, Tokeidai) is a symbol of Sapporo. The building was constructed during the early period of Sapporo's development in 1878 as a drill hall of the Sapporo Agricultural College. In 1881 a clock purchased from Boston was installed.
Today, the Clock Tower serves as a museum with displays about the building's history and Sapporo on the first floor. On the second floor are displays about the clock and a spacious ceremony hall that calls to mind the simple buildings of the colonial American Midwest.
2. Sapporo Beer Museum
Hokkaido is the birthplace of beer in Japan. Sapporo Beer, one of the oldest and most popular beer brands in the country, has been brewed in Sapporo since 1877.
The Sapporo Beer Museum (サッポロビール博物館, Sapporo Beer Hakubutsukan) was opened in 1987 in a former brewery from the Meiji Period. The museum introduces the history of beer in Japan and the process of beer making. After the exhibitions, beer tastings are available at a small fee. Alternatively, paid tours are held in Japanese that include a tasting session at the end.
3. Otaru
Otaru (小樽) is a small harbor city, about half an hour northwest of Sapporo by train. Its beautifully preserved canal area and interesting herring mansions make Otaru a pleasant day trip from Sapporo or a nice stop en route to or from Niseko or the Shakotan Peninsula.
From the early days of Hokkaido's colonization in the late 1800s, Otaru served as a major trade and fishing port. It was hence chosen as the terminal station of Hokkaido's first railway line that connected the port with nearby Sapporo. Many old warehouses and former office buildings by shipping and trade companies give Otaru's city center a special character reminiscent of past decades.
