At the north of the island of Karpathos is the small island of Saria, once habitated but today there are only churches and ruins. During the boat trip, you will reach the most beautiful beach and the island's natural harbor Palatia. You climb to the summit overlooking the natural harbor to enjoy the stunning views over Aegean Sea and Saria. On the terrace of the white and blue church of Agios Zacharias, surrounded by the Mediterranean perfumes and lit by a warm sun, you can enjoy Greece in all its magnificent beauty. When we will come back to the bay you can refresh in the crystal clear sea. Meanwhile the crew will prepare lunch which will be served on the boat. Return in the afternoon.

On May 29 in 2015 we made a trip to Saria to see two ancient cities: Nisyros and Argos.

SUBSCRIBE: - Let's visit the wild and remote Kyra Panagia Beach located in the Greek island of Karpathos. This beautiful sandy beach lies in a small cove right between the mountains and has a fine mixture of white sand and smooth pebbles, and crystalline waters. It is located 14 km north of Pigadia, the capital of Karpathos and close to Apella beach. This beach is considered to be one of the best beaches in Greece. This beach offers an amazing swimming experience and a striking mountain backdrop. It is reachable by car, motorbike or boat from Pigadia.
Karpathos, also Carpathos, is the second largest of the Greek Dodecanese islands, in the southeastern Aegean Sea. Together with the neighboring smaller Saria Island it forms the municipality of Karpathos, which is part of the Karpathos regional unit.
Greece is a country in southeastern Europe with thousands of islands throughout the Aegean and Ionian seas. Influential in ancient times, it's often called the cradle of Western civilization. Athens, its capital, retains landmarks including the 5th-century B.C. Acropolis citadel with the Parthenon temple. Greece is also known for its beaches, from the black sands of Santorini to the party resorts of Mykonos.

SUBSCRIBE: - Let's visit the beautiful Greek island of Karpathos in the Aegean Sea and let's walk around a cluster of medieval windmills built just outside the ancient town of Olympos in the northern part of karpathos. These windmills were built on top of a hill overlooking the area facing towards the western direction, where the winds are stronger and most fierce throughout the year. Most of the windmills of Karpathos were built during the 10th or the 11th centuries but these ones here in the video, come from either the 14th or the 15th centuries.
