Sky Mirror named after its mirror-like reflection of the sky is a mystery island that will only emerge for several days every month: During the 1st and 15th of a lunar month, as well as 4 days before or after these dates. It is also dubbed the Salar de Uyuni of Malaysia, after similar natural wonder in Bolivia.
Sky Mirror is also home to a multitude marine life besides sand dollars, the most common are the sea clams and baby clams which scattered abundantly in the sand. Though tiny, you will definitely fall in love with million of baby clams that glitter like diamonds under the sun. Other interesting marine organisms found are sea anemones, shore crabs, red crabs, soldier crabs, bamboo clams. sea grapes, bailer shell, sea snails, and a variety of shells.

You will not be able to capture the mirror effect. You need some setup. All photo is capture by the guides. What you see in the media is all fake. Maybe my expectations is too high but it just for tourists purpose bah.

玻利维亚有一个由高原盐湖形成的「天空之镜」，没想到马来西亚也有一个由海中浅滩形成的「天空之镜」。在距离吉隆坡约一个半小时车程的瓜拉雪兰莪海外，就有一片被渔民发现的“天空之镜”，它其实是一片大浅滩，但只在大潮后才会出现，也就是每月的初一和十五及其后的两天，所以一个月内只有六天才能看到神秘的美景哦！
这一次我们就到天空之镜进行两天一夜的旅行让小维尔看看大自然的奇景！第一天我们我们从柔佛洲Segamat出发到瓜拉雪兰莪，第一站我们先去体验了一趟陶瓷的制作过程，接下来就去Sekinchan适耕庄的稻米展览馆参观，顺便看看一望无际的稻田。第二天我们就上船出发前往“天空之镜”看看大自然所形成的奇景！

Beautiful Trip to Sky Mirror in Kuala Selangor, Malaysia. [in clear 4k/ HD1080 ]
During my trip to Malaysia, I got a chance to visit Sky Mirror in Kuala Selangor, Malaysia. Why is called Sky Mirror? Well, its named after its mirror-like reflection of the sky is a mysterious island that will only emerge for several days every month: During the 1st and 15th of a lunar month, as well as 4 days before or after these dates.
It is also dubbed the Salar de Uyuni of Malaysia, after similar natural wonder in Bolivia.
I have to say the whole trip to Sky Mirror is worth it by getting up wee dawn of the day, 1+ hrs of driving(more/less depending on where you are driving from), and a 45mins of boat ride to get there.
If you are visiting Malaysia, I would recommend this place. Just make sure you check the lunar calendar on which date you can go. Best is to contact a tour guide over there to find out more details about this trip.
Also, in Sky Mirror, you'll see a lot of baby Clams, sea clams, and other marines life. On the way out to the Sky Mirror, you'll be also seeing lots of birds like Milky Storks, eagles, monkeys, etc.
ps: Be prepared for a lot of tourists posing for their best pose to capture the reflection of the sky.
TIPS: Go early of the day if possible. And also, you can go a little farther from the crowd to get the best shot of this place.

Visitors both local and foreign have been drawn to a ‘secret island’ that reveals itself in the Straits of Malacca only twice a month: During the new moon and full moon.
At those times, the unnamed island is accessible by a 30-minute boat ride from the Kuala Selangor Sky Mirror Jetty.
Some call it Malaysia’s own Uyuni salt flats, the natural wonder in Bolivia famed for its mirror-like reflection of the sky.
Besides picture-perfect scenery, the island is also home to a multitude of marine organisms.
So should you decide to venture there, remember to take photographs, video and leave only footprints.

Sky Mirror merupakan tarikan terbaru di Kuala Selangor yang terletak kira-kira 15 minit perjalanan dari Kampung Sasaran Kuala Selangor. Sky Mirror di Kuala Selangor ini diberi gelaran Salar De Uyuni Malaysia dan merupakan tarikan paling terbaru di Kuala Selangor. Siapa sangka ‘Pulau Misteri’ ini seolah-olah penemuan baru sebagai pelancongan menarik di Kuala Selangor. Bagi peminat fotografi , anda tak perlu lagi habiskan duit travel ke luar negara semata-mata untuk mendapatkan seni foto Salar de Uyuni.
Tempat ini sebenarnya baru saja popular di kalangan pelawat. Ianya tak jauh dari Kampung Sasaran, Kuala Selangor, sebuah perkampungan nelayan masyarakat Cina. Dalam bahasa cina, mereka menyebutnya “Shasha Lan”. Jadi kita terjemahkannya dalam bahasa melayu menjadi “Sasaran”.
Fenomena Salar de Uyuni di Sasaran ini tidak selalu berlaku kerana ia sebenarnya sebuah kawasan pantai. Ianya hanya terjadi 6 hari pada setiap bulan mengikut kalendar lunar masyarakat Cina iaitu pada pertama, ke-2, 14, 15, 16 dan 30. Kalau anda tak pasti berapa haribulan mengikut kalendar Masihi, boleh buat rujukan di Google. Waktu berlaku air surut ini antara pukul 10.30 - 11.00 pagi. Untuk datang ke sini, anda perlu naik bot lebih kurang 30 minit dari Jeti Sasaran, Kuala Selangor.
Bagi yang nak datang menyaksikan sendiri keindahan panorama Salar de Uyuni versi Malaysia, pastikan anda bawa bekalan makanan seperti roti dan air mineral. Tandas juga agak sukar didapati di kawasan pantai seperti ini. Di kawasan perkampungan nelayan pula agak susah untuk cari restoran makanan Melayu. Mungkin anda terpaksa tangguhkan seketika waktu makan tengah hari anda.
Kadar harga bagi seorang untuk pergi ke Sky Mirror ialah RM80.

Discovering “blue tears” in Kuala Selangor
“Blue tears,” a natural nighttime phenomenon caused by algae “Dinoflagellates,“ can be seen in Kuala Selangor where visitors get to catch a speedboat ride along the waters where the Selangor River meets the Straits of Malacca.
The 45min-1hour ride from the Jetty Sky Mirror Kuala Selangor is open every evening at 8, 9 and 10pm.

Malaysia is a wonderful place, we have a lot of wonders waiting to be explored. The recent one that we went to is Sasaran Beach 天空之镜 / Sky Mirror of Malaysia. It is totally different from the famous Salar de Uyuni [Salt Flat Lake in Bolivia ] but it is definitely unique in its own way. Every Malaysian should visit Malaysia's Sky Mirror at least once. Lol. #cuticutimalaysia Before you go you will need to book in advance, there are a lot of tour companies doing this trip so do check with your favourite tour company, alternatively you can buy your tickets online, just google SKy Mirror. Ticket price for adults is RM80, It is recomended that you arrive a day ahead as you will need to get up as early as 5am, there are hotels nearby like the one we stayed in 'Apps Hotel, Kuala Selangor'. 一個月只有六天會浮現在海面的神秘淺灘.
雪州的沙沙兰外海出现一个景色可媲美南美洲国家玻利维亚“天空之镜”之称的乌尤尼盐湖（Uyuni Salt Flat）的“神秘海岛”！
据悉，距离沙沙兰只有半小时船程的“神秘海岛”只有在逢农历初一和十五，尤其海水退潮时才会出现和让人登上岛；每次只“出现”一至两天。由于目前还没有太多人知道它的存在，因此，目前仍保留最完整自然的纯朴景色。
尽管“神秘海岛”被誉为可媲美乌尤尼盐湖，但要在该湖看到“海连天，天连海”景象还需大自然的配合，而“神秘海岛”则是只要一浮现，就出现让人赞叹的的景象。
1个多小时绕不完
据悉，当沙沙兰渔民发现“神秘海岛”上，曾环绕海岛，惟用上1个多小时还无法绕一圈，发现这个海岛大得有点惊人。

Sasaran, also known as the Sky Mirror, is a mysterious island named after its mirror-like reflection of the sky that will only emerge several days every month. We were really unlucky to be encountering the worst rain for the year as described by the tour guides at the Sasaran boat tour. I didn't manage to get much footage for Sasaran because of the rain. Nonetheless, the experience was still incredible and unforgettable. I still can't get over how beautiful the paddy fields in Sekinchan are. These places will still and always be the places I wouldn't mind to re-visit for a short getaway trip.
